Good half day trip 10/28/2011

This is one of the popular scenic attractions in the Washington State. It is a 270 foot waterfall and has an observation deck to enjoy the scenery. There is a small trail about half a mile and descends about 300 feet. Currently this trail is closed. Couple the Snoqualmie Falls visit with a romantic dinner at The Salish lodge Great View, good food and the calming sound of water. Very romantic! more

My husband and i stop at Snoqualmie falls every time we go to Seattle. We first went their together on our honeymoon, we have pictures of us with the falls behind us. The falls are simply beautiful, we could sitand watch them for hours. Very relaxing. You can get beautiful views and pictures from the observation deck. Very nice and clean paths and a nice little gift shop too! more

Absolutely beautiful 12/7/2005

I went down to snoqualmie falls with my girfriend this past summer. It was great. It's pretty close to Seattle, just take interstate 90 east and it should be a 30-45 minute drive. You can sing songs are just talk on the way there. Once you're there, you park your car and go from there. You can walk down to the waterfall which is awesome. The water is very nice. It's a steep drop and when the water level is high, the intensity of the waterfall is 10 times better. Take your family down there or girl/boy friend down there and just chill. Great place, found out about it at REI and on msn. Check it out! more

Great Spot Especially for Visitors to The Area 9/25/2005

Snoqualmie Falls is a super sight especially when the rainfall has been high and the rivers are threatening to flood. The extra water makes the falls even more dramatic. Even during the dry summer months the falls are thundering down. If the weather has been dry take a hike down to the river to see the falls from a different prospective. Be cautions if the weather has been wet, the trail can be a bit muddy. There is ample parking across the street. And you can safely get to the falls via a pedestrian overpass (as the road here can be busy). This local is just a sampling of the beauty in the Pacific Northwest. If you are a visitor and want to see more go to REI and pick-up a trail guide book for ideas of where to hike while in the area. more

Snoqualmie Falls 8/17/2005

Snoqualmie Falls is a 270 foot waterfall located in the mountains east of Seattle. This is one of my favorite sights in the Seattle area, and it's really worth taking a car out to the Falls and experiencing the countryside nearby. The waterfall is large and breathtaking. There is an observation deck located right next to the parking lot, or you can walk down the trail that takes you all the way to the base of the falls. There, you can stand on the rocks and feel the water spraying from the waterfall. This is a very scenic point-- don't forget your camera! You may recognize Snoqualmie Falls and the Salish Lodge (located directly above the waterfall) from the opening credits of the "Twin Peaks" television series. Take a moment to look around the lodge as well. There is a lovely gift store. Upstairs, you can dine or just have a drink at the elegant restaurant. Take highway 90 east to the Snoqualmie Parkway exit. Turn left. From there, signs will direct you to Snoqualmie Falls. more
