Smith Marine - Repair and customer service at its worst 1/9/2009

I have had extensive experience with this dealership. They will be nice to you when you are purchasing a vehicle but their customer service and repair work is horrible. Over the years I spent more than $25,000 on vehicles (snowmobiles, ATVs and a trailer) with this dealership. If this is how they treated me, I can only imagine how they treat repair customers who did not buy their vehicle from them. On 2 separate occasions when they worked on my vehicles, they returned them to me with things wrong with them that were not broken when I brought the vehicle to them. \r 1.) One time they used Crazy Glue (yes ? Crazy Glue) to cover up that they had broken the fuel injector plug when they removed the wiring harness. This shoddy workmanship was not discovered until the sled broke down in Canada because of the damage that Smith Marine did and the Canadian dealership discovered the glued injector plug. As a result of Smith Marine?s incompetent repair department, we lost a week?s snowmobiling during the height of the season. \r 2.) Just recently they did something to the wiring on my ATV when it was in for a repair to the rear brake cylinder and now the brake lights and running lights do not work. I still have not figured out exactly what they did. \r 3.) When they delivered my wife?s brand new ATV, the battery was half hanging out of its cradle. Fortunately I noticed it right away while the vehicle was still at the dealership and I showed it to Jack Smith who is one of the owners. He blew off my concern and a worker that helps in the yard got me tools and I straightened it out in the yard. Jack could care less about the condition of the machine. Because of the way that the battery was positioned, after a short trip it would have caused serious damage to the ATV, possible injury to my wife and possibly another lost vacation. Once again, I must stress that this was on the delivery of a brand new machine. \r Their repair department is terrible and their attitude is despicable. \r Pros: Location of dealership Cons: horrible repair service, despicable owner attitude, lack of concern about the quality of the service that they provide, all they want is your money more
