Usually, this rink is a fun place to go and would recommend it to families to take their children. (Even for the shakey adult, it is fun. Just wear soft pants so if you fall, it won't be so bad.) Especially on Sunday afternoons when they have open skate. Not a lot of older kids zooming around, nice place for beginners to go.
The episode that left me shaking my head is a birthday party recently scheduled for my niece. This party was schedule about 2 months in advance. A deposit was paid, invitations sent out. The Monday before the party (the party was for Sunday) the ice rink called to inform us that the rink would be closing on Friday for renovations. CLOSING, for a FEW weeks. Did they not know that renovations would be taking place a week before?
I would go again to skate, but will never suggest this place for parties.
