Upon moving into a new house it was observed that the stove i inherited with the home was malfunctioning. The Kenmore electric range would heat for about 20 minutes then proceed to show a F10 error. I decided to look up this code and found that this was a sign of over heating. I then proceeded to research the replacement part and found that this overheating was caused by faultering sensory probe. Realizing that this was a repair that was beyond my skill set I looked up a local repair company and happened upon SIR CHARLES APPLIANCE REPAIR. I called them and they sent out Quintin. Quintin asked me a few questions then deferred to his iphone to research the issue only to turn back to me a state that there is no F10 code for the Kenmore range and that I must be mistaken. In order to show Quintin the code I turned on the range and asked Quintin to wait the needed time in order for the F10 code to appear. Quintin quickly stated that he didn't have the time to wait and proceeded to bill me 52.50 for ""diagnosing"" the issue. At this I scoffed noting that he made NO diagnosis and in fact he refused to take the time to properly do the job he was called to do. At this point Quintin realized I was not going to pay him and quickly exited stated that SIR CHARLES would send a invoice...I asked for what exactly??? A week later I had Sears out to the house and they diagnosed the problem and aptly fixed the issue.
