Simon's Hardware & Bath

I have bought from Simon's in the past.. the selection is incredible..and I knew what I needed and knew the price I would pay But what are they thinking of by aligning themselves with NYKB.. UNLESS..... Ilan Portal (Owner and partners in many NY businesses..restaurants included) invested in the place.. STAY FAR away from NYKB...You might as well give them your wallet, checkbook and your portfolio.. what ever is left, they will take it off your hands. I went to Simon's with a lock set I took out of my bathroom door. The guy behind the counter told me that it was a nonstandard size and that I would need to spend $375 on a standard-sized lock set and have a contractor rework the door to accommodate the new hardware. Daunted by a $500+ undertaking, I decided to look elsewhere. Turns out my "nonstandard" lock set costs $20 at my local hardware store. I'll never trust Simon's again. more

The customer service and follow through at Simon's Hardware & Bath is TERRIBLE. The staff is not well trained in the products they sell and they are rude to customers. We went in with a simple request. They told us that our only option was to custom order. Six weeks later the order arrived incorrect. They did not return my phone calls and I finally went in to pay them a visit. They actually had the five dollar item I needed all along but instead sold me a $150 custom part. Instead of giving me what I needed to complete the incorrect order they proceeded to argue with me and refused to provide me with what I needed. I am planning a renovation and will avoid this place at all costs. I would recommend you do the same. Cons: Terrible Service. Be worried if anything goes wrong with your order. more
