1. We were fooled into getting a "13 month" lease instead of a 12 month lease by vague wording.
Usual story, we were in a hurry and didn't read the lease as close as we should have, nor have an attorney review it.
The lease (I found out later is full of vague language and "got you" fees that are probably as close to illegal and extortion as you can get.
2. During the lease period, we had the sprinkler system "winterized". What is strange is we instigated it and they said they would send us a bill. They never did until about six months letter we got a nasty letter saying they were going to deduct the $75 from our rent and THEN SAY WE WERE "LATE" ON OUR RENT AND CHARGE A $180 PENALTY!!!
That should have warned us there.
3. The driveway was cracked and sinking. We thought it was going to be fixed, but never was even though it was dangerous and unsightly. (This was in a home with a $1800 rental in a nice neighborhood). They never fixed it, we decided to move.
4. They are attempting to steal $770 from us in "damage fees". This includes items that were never fixed when we moved in!
The day were supposed to have a "final inspection", the Signature Realty" (also known as "Edmond4Rent", which should have been a tip) representative called and said she was "too busy" to meet us for the inspection (even though we were already there.
She then said that she would check it. Since we used THERE RECOMMENDED CARPET CLEANER!!!! (there was an implicit warning if you didn't use their company they wouldn't accept it) we assumed they would do a good job.
Anyway, she said she would look at it and let us know. Since we never heard anything , we assumed everything was ok.
INSTEAD WE GET A CERTIFIED LETTER SAYING THEY WERE DEDUCTING $770 FROM OUR DEPOSIT!!!!!! Part of it was $100 for THERE CARPET CLEANER not doing the job
