The waiter maybe he is also the owner too with very short hair. He ignored customer when I requested something, and threw the To go food that I am waiting for! Very violent!

After virtually giving up hope of finding even a mediocre Thai restaurant in Portland, I happened across this jewel. Fresh, nicely spiced, beautifully presented Thai food. more

Impressive 4/27/2010

Recently had pad thai here, and it was a cut above many other places I've tried. Large portion, fair price, and the medium spice was just spicy enough for my tastes. I was very surpised at the beautiful decor in the restaurant, it definitely doesn't look like a typical restaurant in a strip mall. \r \r Nice of them to offer a punch card to use for a credit one day, very few places offer those anymore. Pros: great food, fair prices, lovely decor more

Medium food and terrible service 4/19/2008

We went there for my birthday. We were 4 adults and 2 kids (1 yr and 3 yrs). The food was fine (not impressive compared to PF Chang, for example, but still not bad). However, our waitress disappeared once she brought the food. We had to wait more than 10 minutes to find her and ask for more rice and a sauce (the restaurant was empty except for us and another table). We asked another waiter but he rudely replied ?ask your waitress?! Then the final shock came when the check came and they added the mandatory 20% tips! I asked why and they replied that we were more than 4 persons (they count my 1 and 3 yrs as full adults!). I asked for the manager and the surprise was that there were no manager. Only 2 waiters, bar tender, and the chef in the whole restaurant!. \r This was a frustrating night. I?ll definitely won?t go there again? \r Pros: Nice decoration, medium food quality Cons: bad service and no manager to complaint to! more

I used to love this place... 3/13/2008

I used to love this place. I would go here literally once or twice a week, for lunch AND dinner... my favorites were the curries, pad-ke-mao, and golden cashew chicken. The food was nummy and decor was comfortable. And the staff was always friendly.\r \r BUT. Something seems to have changed in the last several months. While the staff is almost always great, it seems like the management's level of service has gone down. For example, they now require a $10 minimum order to use a debit or credit card - which might not seem like a problem, but I never carry cash and when their entrees are $7-9.50 each, it makes it seem like they're trying to squeeze out a second dish. Sadly, I was going out of my way to eat there, and I'd have to go the opposite direction to get cash from the ATM first. Too much running around for me.\r \r Likewise, they have a ""frequent flier"" club where for every $10 entree they p u n c h your card, and I've had staff argue that $9.50 (plus the $1 tip I leave) doesn't cover this. Sure, letter of the law, but it makes for unhappy customers. So they can keep their 50 cents. I'll take my business elsewhere. Pros: Good food Cons: Cost, off the beaten path more

Shocked! A ""must try"" for any true Thai food fan. 7/23/2007

Wow, I did not expect to be totally astonished by the beauty of the restaurant. My daughter and I were looking for a quick lunch and stumbled upon this restaurant close to our house. \r To start out, I must say somebody invested in their dream on this place. Great Job! The woodwork was amazing and the lighting (my profession) was professionally done. Great use of the Black Alzak MR16 low voltage recessed lighting to eliminate all glare. What a fantastic place. Very Clean and Very inviting. The building that the restaurant is grouped in does not deserve this caliber of place. \r \r As far as the food, we had the Yellow Curry with Beef and the Pad Thai (of course) for lunch. You can always tell a lot about a Thai restaurant by these two dishes. The two dishes were very well plated and the food was very well prepared. \r \r Service was very professional and courteous. My water glass was never empty. Enough said.\r \r Bravo! Well Done! Congratulations! Two Thumbs Up! 5 Stars.\r \r This is definitely one of my highest rated restaurants to date. This will be our new Thai Restaurant of choice. \r \r Pros: Great Motif, Great Food, Great Service. Cons: I got full from eating so much. :) more

Great Food...When They get Your Order Right! 7/6/2006

We used to eat here all the time because it is so close to our house, but the last few times we've ordered takeout, they've gotten the order wrong. There's nothing worse than having your heart set on something and then getting home to find it isn't in the bag!! They have good pad thai and pad-kee-mao, but I think they have recently changed ownership because it seems to really have gone downhill since the first time we went there (3 or 4 years ago now?). I would still recommend it to dine in, or if you get takeout, be sure to go over your order with them very carefully on the phone, and be sure to check the order again when you pick up your food, unless you like surprises! Pros: Good Food Cons: Mixed-up Takeout Orders more
