I went in to get a custom cake made for my daughter and was treated horribly. The staff was rude. The products they had were good. I ended up buying my daughter a cookie and a treat for myself. However, because of the poor treatment from the staff, I ended up purchasing my custom cake from someone else. more

Best cakes in town 12/1/2005

Shirley's Bakery is located in Hamilton Hills, off the 45 Bypass. This is the only independent bakery I know of in Jackson, and it is a great one. Shirley and her staff do wonderful cakes for all occassions. I love the white cake with white icing, and my baby's first birthday cake was so cute. They also have lots of yummy cookies and pasteries, so stop in and try one out. They only take cash, no credit cards, so make sure you go to the bank on your way in for delicious cookies. more
