I everytime I'm on my way back from FIU I have the biggest urge for their Bubble tea!! I've had chocolate, peanut, taro, passion fruit... Chocolate is my favorite. The only thing is that 75 cents for each additional topping is kind of high..For the food, I've had the honey chicken with fried rice which was also pretty good (and much less greasy than the standard stuff)..Overall, Love it.. more

Great banh mi (a Vietnamese sandwich) served on a warm baguette. The lemongrass chicken is great as well as the roast pork one. My wife loved it. Looking forward to trying more menu items. more

Finally Banh Mi In Miami 9/27/2010

Big happy surprise! Finally a Banh Mi restaurant in Miami. Yes, they do make the sandwich on South Beach, but for $15, which is crazy! Here it's $5 and delicious! Fresh meat, julienne vegetables, a smear of pate & served on a crispy, toasted baguette. The standard pork is best, but so are the cold cuts & BBQ. Clean, friendly setting. Treat yourself to a delectable treat without breaking the bank. Very friendly, courteous staff. more

I was craving a banh mi sandwich. So I did a google search. I went to Shing Wang and tried the BBQ pork vietnamese sandwich and a mango boba tea. The mango boba tea was so refreshing. There was real mango in the drink. The boba was soft and chewy. Perfect. The sandwich was outstanding. Can't wait to go back and try the other stuff! more

Shing Wang got a recent renovation and new menu when the previous owner decided to retire last month. They gave the reigns to their daughter, who splits her time between NYC and Miami. The new Shing Wang still carries a few Vegetarian dishes/appetizers and still has their extensive Bubble Tea menu. They currently offer 3 versions of Banh Mi but will be rolling out an extensive Banh Mi Menu (25 versions) soon. Don't worry...all the Banh Mi's are served on a toasted authentic Vietnamese French baguette. more

The mock meat is simply gross. I left with a headache. I don't know what they put in this stuff. The vegetables don't even taste healthy. Don't see how people like this food, It tastes synthetic. more

Finally! A restaurant with a primarily vegetarian menu! After a late night gig, my brother and I, both vegetarians of varying degrees, woke up ravenous. We gave Shing Wang a shot, and were incredibly pleased. I ordered the General Tsao Chicken and my brother ordered the sweet and sour crispy chicken. Both were made entirely from soy and were absolutely delicious. We also ordered the bubble tea, which I had never tasted before. It was amazing! The portions were large and the prices included rice and miso soup. The sweet and sour chicken gave my brother the one thing that he misses, being a vegetarian: crispy "chicken" breading. Shing Wang offers up both incredible vegetarian substitutes ranging from beef and pork, from chicken to fish, and, various non-vegetarian meat dishes, as well. Definitely give this place a shot. You will not be disappointed! more

As a penne pollo vegetarian (I eat chicken and fish but not beef or pork), I really appreciate this place! The soy based beef and pork dishes are really tasty, and the bubble tea is yummy. Oh, and the prices are great, too. I can't wait to try the shaved ice desserts there! more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 9/14/2008

The place was empty during lunchtime and the service was decent. I ordered a mango chicken dish (~8) while my girlfriend ordered a shrimp dish (~9) with a watermelon drink ($~4). Note that the 'meat' is actually made from soy. We also wanted to try Taiwanese style Hot & Sour soup (~$4). The soup needed more sourness (I love sour food). I was dying to try their shaved ice (~$4) which comes with 4 toppings, $0.75 for each additional. The toppings I chose were kiwi, lychee, red bean and ... (I forgot the last). The shaved ice dessert was the best dish there. I'm willing to come again just for the shaved ice dessert but not for any of their main dishes. more
