This doctor took dilligent notes of my symptoms for about a year, and after a while I got to worrying that that was ALL he was going to do. I was right.\r
So if you or your insurance provider can afford 200/hr for a human dictophone, this guy is for you. Other than that he is much like the psychiatrists on Cheers, who act puzzled and question your feelings about things endlessly but offer no solutions or even his opinion about what is wrong.\r
He got outright HOSTILE with me when I finally asked what his diagnosis was, and attributed my lack of patience with his endless and pointless probing as the evidence that I had some kind of personality problem. This guy is nearing sixty but has no ability to restrain himself from YELLING at a sick patient or using the F word when he has an issue with someone, apparently. I asked him where it all was going, saying that I was obviously not getting better and was running out of money to pay him for writing everything I said down in his chart (which he refuses to send me, violating my HIPAA rights) and told me to shut up and listen to him tell me that he found me personally difficult and used the word ""FING BITCH:"" to prove his points.\r
This entire field, including those that refer in and out of it, prey on people with difficulties and offer few solutions.
Pros: Open schedule
Cons: offers little help, has his own issues
