Bunch of Xenophobic Biggots - non-americans not allowed 9/3/2011

I am well over the legal drinking age, but I am not an american citizen or permanent resident; merely a tourist. This bar refused to serve me after presenting my Canadian Passport. The bar has a sign saying 'Only US ID accepted'. If I'm a tourist, I'm unable to obtain US issued ID. The grossly misinformed and xenophobic girl working the bar contended that it was the law. I explained that no other establishment had refused my ID in the past. She told me to get out. I felt totally humiliated. I recommend that NO ONE EVER GO THERE. I will be filing complaints with the Pennsylvania board of tourism and doing my best to tarnish this bar's reputation. more

Mixed reviews, but usually good 5/21/2009

I've been here a few times usually it's pretty good except the one time I went on Friday night and had one of the worst bartenders ever. Keeping up with all the regulars she knew by name but completely ignoring me. Other than that I've gone on Saturdays and really enjoy this little gem. The first time I went I had a drunk musician explain to me his little racket of how he gets drunk for free by going to all the local art shows and feigning interest for free wine. This occurred while I was taking a leak in the bathroom. Urinal talk is always uncomfortable, but this time it made me laugh at least. I have a couple good stories that make me laugh from this place. It's a dive and seemingly blue collar bar, playing a lot of classic rock and country- unusual for being in downtown Lancaster. But every time I come here they have the golf channel on TV which doesn't make sense to me- but whatever. They usually have a crockpot going with some kind of concoction brewing but I haven't been drunk enough to try that out yet. Try it out and meet some new people. Pros: unique, interesting people Cons: plays the golf channel 24/7 more

great place for a neighborhood bar 5/12/2009

I am appalled at the only review this little bar got. I hang out here alot. I always have a great time. The drinks are cheap, the bartenders are pleasant , and most of the patrons are very nice. I always feel safe there. It is the only bar i know that has free food for their customers!! All bars have their downside and this bar has more upsides than downsides if you give it a chance. I LOVE THIS BAR!! Pros: fun little hangout place with cheap drinks more

Providing a ""I feel like I'm going to get stabbed atmosphere"" 1/28/2009

Highly Recommended if your looking for: gambling, change from begging, a fight, illegal-substances, an un-irish atmosphere, undercover police officers, a ""lady of the night"", and/or eye furrowing signs that hang on the wall ""will the last american leaving miami please bring the flag."" Cheap beer and alcoholics make this place a gem to visit if your feeling suicidal, angry, or just plain crazy. Pros: nice girl works not enough Cons: owner looks like he is strung out more
