LOVED IT!!!! my husband and i had Italian Panini and wrap. Both delish!!!! the wrap was tomato basil.\r never had one of those before, There were so many choices to add along with the first rate turkey it was hard to choose. finally added onion, tomato, peppers, humus and black olives. had this a week ago and yearning for it right now as i write this. had a frozen mango drink along with it. Hit the spot!!! my husband had the sicilian panini. also according to him outstanding. I agreed when i grabbed a bite. the $1.50 draft was perfect with it. more

I'm definitely a lover of subs, so I was quite excited to try this place out. The sub was a huge portion, but it was nothing special. Very bland. Oh, and I found a dead mosquito in my sub. Gross. Needless to say, I threw the rest of my $8 sandwich away. more

I'm usually not a reviewer, but I love Urbanspoon. After going to the shack and reading the reviews, I had to write something. I'm so sick of restaraunt owners and their employees writing reviews of their own place. I count maybe 4 reviews about the shack that are authentic and they pretty much agree the place sucks. The rest of the reviews are such obvious plants it makes me sick. It really is a disservice to UrbanSpoon. These reviews about $1.50 drafts and "Boars Head" and I love the one about "there's so much to do, especally the ring game". Uh, okay, I went to the shack and yeah, they have a ring tied to a piece of string, but that's about it. It's not like you're going to Boomers with so much to do. I'd sum up, "so much to do" as, order, eat and leave. If you want to advertise your boars head and $1.50 Miller genune drafts, put up a menu, don't use fake reviews.\r As far as the place goes, it's a sub shop with average food that serves beer, you get that right off the bat when you walk in and see one of the employees slurping one down-TACKY. As far as music, play what you want, but turn it down enough so I don't have to repeat my order and I get what I ordered. It really sucks to pick onions off a sub you ordered when you repeated "NO ONIONS!". If you're looking for a decent sub FAST and inexpensive, no one beats 620 Subs, they're like a producton line, I've been out of there during a lunch rush in 4 minutes flat. If you want a GREAT sub, then I have to agree with Joe, V&S is the gold standard. In short the Shack is ok, but it seems like the owners wanted to open a nightclub, but could only afford a sub shop. My advice, know what you are and focus on being the best. Take a trip to 620 and learn how to make a sandwich accurately and quickly. Then stop at V&S and find out why they've been there over decade. Keep gong the way you are and you're another snowflake in the brutal Florida sun. more

The food is decent, the subs are big, you need to eat them with utensils otherwise they fall apart, but you can't complain for getting a lot of food for your money. \r \r We went to the Shack after the beach, we really wanted to sit down and relax after the beach, but the music they had playing was so LOUD and was pretty foul filled with four lettered words that I wouldn't expect to hear at a night club, much less a beachside cafe. I had to send my kids outside until the order was filled, although the music was so loud I'm sure they heard it outside. The atmosphere otherwise is ok, a little cheesy, like a pseudo surf shack. \r \r I think the place would be a decent eat if there was a manager or an owner that had some idea of what was gong on over there. If their judgment is so poor with their selection of music, it makes you wonder what else is going on in there? I WOULD NOT go back until I saw a "under new management" sign. Definitely not a place to take your kids. more

My husband and I were down in Delray Beach and stopped by just for a quick bite. We had the Turkey Panini and it was the best we've ever had. They really put love into it. Also, the miller light draft for $1.5 was nice and cold. :) we will definitely go back there.\r \r Priscila & Jason more

This little spot is a really chill place with 1.50 draft beers and Subs made from only Boar's Head meat and they put so much meat on them that it is surprising how inexpensive they are. Excellent staff and very clean. Its right near the beach and they deliver! more

The Shack is on the ultra-hip Atlantic Avenue in Delray. It's the only place I know of that I can order a sub or anything else on their menu from my cell on the beach and have it delivered to me. They portions are huge, they use my favorite Boars Head and when we're done at the beach, we walk a few blocks and suck down their $1.50 Miller Iight draft, can't beat it. The atmosphere is like a surf shack, very clean, all the meat is sliced fresh right in front of you. The Shack has become part of our beach routine. Highly recommended as a perfect compliment to a great day at the beach or a perfect place to stop at anytime we're on Atlantic to just chill out and relax and it doesn't dent the wallet. more
