Regular staff is wonderful - friendly and work hard (I have gone into both Pete's and Starbuck's, a couple customers come in and the staff is chatting...and find it more important to finish their conversation than wait on customers). The pastries are fresh (we're partial to the morning buns, they often sell out on the weekend, so go early)...and the sandwiches are all great (out of town guest asked to eat lunch there a second day because of the quality and small cafe ambiance). Coffee is very good, consistently. I wish they opened earlier (7am during week, 8am on weekends) but it's worth the wait.
Pros: Pastries, sandwiches, bread, service, coffee, parking easy if you drive
Cons: for a coffee/bakery shop, none I can think of
