Worst Customer Service/Service Ever 6/14/2011

I usually don't have enough time to write a complaint, but I have continuously had THEE worst costumer service at the Bothell location on Thrashers Corner. THE WORST!!!!! The manager Melony is awful, she is completely rude and always snotty when I go in, I have encountered her yelling at her employee's and find it completely unprofessional and I don't know how she's gotten away with it because I cannot be the only one who's complained about this (OTHER PEOPLE WERE IN THE WAITING ROOM!). The employee's aren't much better, Mckenzie is a hit or miss. If you buy something she's lights up and she could not be nicer but if you don't she becomes so unbelievably rude. She makes it completely obvious that they are paid commissions. This brunette that is the most natural looking out of them all is so completely pushy to everyone, the lobby was full and people just wanted to get it beds, and with EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM she was on their case about buying this and that making it even MORE completely noticeable that we are not customers we are just buyers. There was a girl who I do not see there anymore (she probably got FIRED), always tried having me buy facial lotions...I DON'T NEED FACIAL LOTIONS WHEN I HAVE A LOTION... CAN YOU NOT SEE I'M NOT INTERESTED AT ALL.. So I decided that maybe I should come in, in more of the morning instead and found Katy. I told her my story and how the night girls are completely rude and the first time she treated me great, gave me a complimentary pair of winkies because I hadn't brought mine in, gave me her apologies, and sent me to a bed (with out insisting I buy something). But I came in the next day and maybe she'd forgotten me, she tried to get me to 're-up' on my package (what kind of slang terminology is that?) which I know was at $47, so it wasn't completely out of tans and I had gotten $20 extra on my last purchase so it was in reality at $67 and she insisted it was at about $25, and I had ran out of my $20 package. She than after not purchasing a new package tried to get me to do some sort of trade my lotion in discount where I would be given 40% off... Never going to Seattle Sun Tan again. The one thing that had me give it one star was it's cleanliness, very clean and the beds are always hot. But the prices and horrible customer service run me out the door. I just wish there was some sort of monthly membership you could get everything unlimited, therefor maybe I would not be persistently irritated by the horrible girls in this salon. more

Amazing Customer Service! 4/27/2011

I have been tanning at Seattle Sun Tan for years and I have definitely have seen an amazing improvement in the staff. The girls are amazing and knowledgeable, a little pushy at times, but it's apart of their job. I have never had such a homely atmosphere at a shop before Seattle Sun Tan, they try to get to know their staff because they know the importance of good customer service. The girls build you a plan and if you stick to it your money goes a long way there. I am surprised there are such terrible reviews and felt the need to post something great about it because it really isn't as bad as people are putting it out to be. The pre-paid packages are spendy, but they last you months. So if you think about it your money stretches here. I've been reading the comments and it just doesn't surprise me that they burnt somebody, it's a tanning bed, sometimes you burn. I'm sure they didn't intensionally go out of their way to burn you. I just know from personal experience that they are very careful about how long they put you in the beds for and you must've said something to make them do otherwise, because if I suggest myself to go in full time and I haven't been in they always recommend me go in less.. ALWAYS. Not once has one of them just let me go into the bed. So anyone who is reading the reviews the staff is very friendly, they never once have not greeted me at the door, and they are always there to help you. SO DON'T BE SCARED! more

Overpriced and horrible customer service. 4/21/2011

I had been going to Seattle Sun Tan for a couple months and realized how terribly overpriced they were after buying my second $200 package. They make it seem like it's a great deal except in reality you pay $200 for 20 or so tans in a level 5 bed, so if you go tanning for one month your going to pay $200 plus the membership fee!! Also, there is always this brunette girl with freckles who is always trying to sell me on everything. She is very pushy and persistent to the point I feel attacked and have to buy something to get her to stop talking. It's almost as bad as car sales! The management there isn't too great either considering there are at least five new girls in the last month, and I'm starting to see less and less of them as the month has gone by. There just continues to be the same pushy girl and the blond one. I think that this company should start thinking about their cliental, do the want long term clients or short term clients who will buy those expensive $200 packages once or twice and leave because of how spendy it is. Tanning isn't a priority in life it is a luxury and there are definitely tanning salons in Washington that provide cheaper services that give you the same results. more

TERRIBLE EMPLOYEES' 1/26/2011

I went in on Sunday for the first time. the girl didnt even I.D me and worst of all, put me in the wrong bed! of course i wasn't told this till later. after I had already paid the insane amount of $30 for a single tan in a level 4, she told me i could of went MON-FRI after 8pm for $8..then after i was leaving she told me i could of tanned free for a week, because Im new. Instead, i paid all that money to get burned and the rest didnt even tan like she said it would. and they refuse to do anything. except give me a free spray tan. and have a ""talk"" with the employee. Terrible place! more
