I am sad to see the less than complimentary reviews. We have had Sears and Sons service for over six years and they have never missed a beat. Always go out of their way to take care of us and friendly and courteous. We could not be more pleased with them. more

Horrible Service 10/27/2010

This is by far the worst service I have ever received from ANY COMPANY I have ever worked with! I have called multiple times to have my trash picked up and was promised time and time again that it would be picked up. I even called the day before to remind them! Do you think it was picked up??? No! I would never recommend this company to anyone. more

I had been a customer for 20 years. Once upon a time their service was quite satisfactory. I had paid for trash removal for August and September, my trash was removed only once during those two months despite numerous phone calls. In mid Sept. I wrote a letter requesting a refund and informing them I employed another company. Since then I received bills for Oct. and Nov. I am extremely disappointed in this company! more

Horrible! October/2010 - I called to start new service and was told thier cans would be delivered that day. No cans were delivered. I called the next day, again, cans would be delivered that day. No cans were delivered... I called back serveral times, no answer and no returned calls... I called back one more time on a different phone, lady answered and told me my trash would be picked up on Friday - assured me it would be picked up. Guess what?? No trash pick up.. Flakey Business!! more

Totally unhappy with horrible service 9/20/2010

I am new to my new home and was referred to them. However, after numerous phone calls by both myself and my Landlady, we have not received any totes, or had our trash picked up once. I am calling today and refusing service from them due to their inability in being able to follow through with their promises to deliver. I would not recommend them to anyone. I, for one, will buy the Orange bags and take the trash that I have to the local center in Ellettsville. more

Horrible customer service 7/6/2010

I have tried for a month straight to have Sears & Sons pick up my trash. Like others have mentioned I have placed 4 telephone calls with promises of having trash picked up that week. Even went as far as to make sure it was not my personal trash can holding up the service. Today I called a competitor and started service with them. more

Horrible Customer Service!!!!!! 6/25/2010

I own a business my self and I can not believe how horrible there customer service is!!!!!! We moved into our new place about two weeks ago and was told that they are the ones to call and have pick up our trash. Well, I have now made about 9 phone calls and talked to the girl working in the office and have been promised it will be picked up 7 different times and it has not!!!!!!! I am extremely upset with they way they run things and I'm going to be calling a different company to do the pick up. more

Poor Customer Service 2/16/2010

Many others have described them perfectly. They will pick up anything. But the customer service is horrible. I rarely get a bill and, frankly, writing a $15 check for my trash is the last thing on my mind. Also, when we set up service about a year and a half ago it took them two weeks (and a lot of phone calls) for them to finally start picking up our trash even when the people across the street use them. So, finally, at 8:30 on a Saturday night they picked up our first load. more

Pick-up great, customer service not. 2/1/2010

Love the way the pick-up crew puts our cans back upright with the lids back on, and they pick up where other companies do not. However, customer service is really bad. It takes several calls, notes, and letters to get anything changed when needed. And we had a rough time getting service set back up when we moved into the area again, had the cans out for two weeks before the phone calls finally got us on the pick-up list. It would be a great asset to the company to get office staff who ran the office. more

Sears & Sons has always been prompt & reliable to my home for weekly trash pickup. We've been here nearly 8 months - I had requested a trash container & the girl stated they were on back I gladly placed an order for one as soon as possible....still haven't gotten one. It could be my own fault because I haven't followed-up on my order...\r \r No other problems though... more

I've been a customer with Sears & Sons for over six years. They have taken anything I've left out for the trash and they have been prompt every week. They even once returned for me, after the truck already left my block and I had forgotten to put the trash out. All it took was one phone call. I'm sorry to read the the poor reviews left by other unhappy customers. Maybe Sears & Sons need to revamp their customer service department. All in all, I think Sears & Sons are terrific. more

Not exactly good customer service oriented. 10/22/2008

Sears and son has an unprofessional customer service department if any. A week ago I called a few times to set up permanent service to my new home, for two days straight I only got the voice mail. I did leave my name and number every time, and never recieved a return call. It took my girl to make it a half day calling event (constant redailing), to even get a person to set a schedule. Now here it is a week later and I am back at square one, no answering the phones, even though I am now a customer. This event was a learning experience for me about poor service. more

I knew Oman Sears to be a fine upstanding,decent,remarkable CHRISTIAN human being!. My family has known his for many many years. I cannot say that he would be very proud of the business he once ran so well. I do not use Sears & Son Trash removal however I have lived in a house for well over a year now and they keep sending bills to the previous resident. They are billing this person for all of the months I have lived here!, I have tried to call them numerous times to no avail. How can they bill someone with a conscience knowing they never once removed any trash from a residence after the person moved out??? I would like some answers for sure. Whoever posted about unreliable billing sure hit the nail on the head. more

Take anything 9/17/2005

We have Sears and Sons as our garbage collectors. I really like them. They have comparable rates with the rest of the other companies around town. Thye will take almost anything that we leave out for pick up. They have never left anything laying around after and always put the lid back on the can when they leave. I wish that they would offer their customers a garbage can, like some other companies, but overall, great service. more
