I helped my mother buy 2 water heaters from their Brookdale location for her duplex she owns. She had been waiting literally all year for their huge sale and cusomer apprieciation days discount for this big purchase. We were so excited to find great deals she bought them instantly, giddy at her savings-lol.
She asked specifically if they deliver and install. They assured her they do so they scheduled delivery for later that week. Fast forward to a no show delivery that she took off work to be home for. When she called they inform her they don't deliver in her area and therefore also could not do the instalation. She lives smack in the middle of Minneapolis! Not like it was rural, 100 miles from the nearest stores. It was like 3 miles max.
What do they mean they don't deliver?
#1- They said they did before she agreed to the purchase.
#2- They charged her credit card for the delivery and instalation.
#3- They scheduled a delivery date and time!
They never called her to apologize or tell her they couldn't do it. They just stood her up and refused to accept responsibility when called upon it. They then had the gall to say she had to come pick them up and they didn'twant to refund her for the delivery charges. She insited they return the whole thing right then and they tried to refuse.
After much insistence and speaking to supervisors she finally successfully returned everything and went elsewhere.
