Purchased new flat top Kenmore range 10/21/2012

Sales person Jen was VERY helpful & approached immediately. Showed me all models containing specs I requested. Price was not real low but decent for features included. Flat top self-cleaner w/ no visible damage for $438. Did not get pushy w/ service plan either. Would return. more

Terrible Experience 3/22/2012

I ordered a cordless drill and light combo online. After 5 emails and a phone call, I received the wrong item 4 weeks later. Several more emails to return this wrong item. Never received a credit card refund and ended up disputing the charge for a reimbursement. Would not recommend the Sears outlet online to anyone. more

Good deals, good people 2/23/2012

Remodeling our kitchen and on a budget, so we decided to check out the Outlet. Several friends had made purchases there and seemed to be very happy with the deals they got. We got there Saturday around noon and the place was hopping! Greeted promptly though and after working with this nice young man named Josh, we ended up making our entire purchase. Prices were excellent and there was a good selection. Thanks and we will send our friends. more

Great experience. 12/22/2011

I had read reviews online about unhelpful and unresponsive salespeople at the store, but my experience was exactly the opposite. more

Appalling shopping experience 10/30/2011

Sears Outlet online: Appalling shopping experience from A to Z. I ordered a patio set that I was to receive in 3-4 weeks and it never came. After nearly 10 phone calls, that I placed, I got the run-around and received excuses about the shipping company, the carrier involved, etc. They took my number each time and promised a return call once they looked into it, but my phone never rang. It turns out they (not sure which party was responsible) LOST my patio set. At this point, a simple refund would have ended this disaster, but the customer service reps continued to offer no support and no money in my account. Two months after the original purchase date, I finally received a partial refund (they didn’t credit my credit card the shipping costs – which were significant). Again, I had to call customer service for them to reconfirm the order was in fact lost (which I thought we already established 5 calls ago). I understand strange things happen (like a patio set disappearing?) but there is no excuse for how poorly the communication and refund was handled. I will NEVER order anything from them again and suggest you do the same. more

great deals bad service 7/10/2011

sales person ignored me when trying to make a purchase. The sales person would disappear all of the sudden but when it came to another customer that was making a large $$$$ purchase he helped them out immedately. This went on for about a half hour, all I wanted to do is pay for a bloody fridge, sorry it wasn't $$$$$$$'s. There were two employees that were chatting up the customer in the above mentioned and when I yet again approched them as to wanting to pay for the fridge they said in bit, this went on again for 20 minutes. Finally another employee came to the rescue and provided me with excellent service. I can tell you one thing is that if my husband didn't have to go and get the truck for the fridge I would have gone else where. more

whats up with the prices? 11/26/2010

I've been shopping this outlet for my rentals since it opened. It used to be hands down the best deal on slightly damaged and returned appliances. Now they are competing with other retailers of new in box appliances. They will price match the exact item if you do all the research and provide proof and often its within its own company which seems scandalous but the customer service is always good and you can still take it home today if its in stock which is becoming less and they try to upsale you to new anyways. should change the name it no longer suits more

Service..nor not 2/9/2010

Good: not much. Bad: I went into the store on 8 Feb to purchase..with money in hand, stackable washer and dryer for my new home I am moving into this week. NOT one salesperson asked if I needed help. Three of them sat around a desk and computer talking and laughing. I was ready to make a purchase if I had the help to decide the right set..Any other time you are bombarded at the door, but maybe because I wasn't dressed in a business suit, I didn't look like I could afford anything...their loss..some other business' gain.. more

purchase and delivery 1/27/2010

I am disappointed with their service. Over the phone they are cordial and try to be helpful. I will give them that much. At the store, the floor attendant was helpful and nice. The person who rang up my purchase was sullen and seemed to be somewhat impatient. I was buying a dryer as a gift for my daughter and had forgotten her address. They said that they couldn't even make the sale without her address. I couldn't reach her by phone. They expected me to drive home, about 40 mi. one way, and come back to make the purchase. Luckily, they found her old address on the computer with her ph.# and we used that. I had to call the delivery people to change it to the correct address when I got home. It was scheduled for delivery the next day. When they called her to make the appointment, they refused to do anything but an evening delivery. With 5 children, 4 of which are teenagers, she is never home in the evening. So, they wanted to reschedule for the next day, with the same problem - only an evening delivery. I called and complained, insisting that evening delivery was impossible. They wanted to do weekend. For my daughter's family Saturday and Sunday are even more difficult. Finally, the lady I spoke with called the scheduling person and convinced them to do in the next morning. We'll see what happens then. I am not at all pleased with this service other than the lady I spoke with today. I will think hard before I ever use their store again. more

Deal or Junk - try your luck 1/23/2010

I have bought some appliances for great deals here, but have also bought junk. You can easily return a toaster, but not a gas appliance. I bought a range and shipped it out of state, only to find that it was non functioning and could not be repaired. What is the point of a warranty on a major appliance if you have to pay huge delivery and installation costs after you are sold junk, in one case a $1,700 range? Some of the items at this store seem to be the problem appliances that no one could sell or fix. The store claims to test them, but I cannot believe that. It is fraudulent to sell such expensive appliances that people rely on without ascertaining if they work or not. I spend up to $10,000 on appliances in a year (I own high end rental units) and I will never shop here again. more

Sale changes every Thursday 5/7/2009

If you need several appliances and have time to shop the section on sale- you could save up to 60% on the whole lot. We saved thousands on our new kitchen and the assistant manager Christina took our wish list and called us when one or more items went on sale. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly even the young men who loaded our purchases on our truck. We did buy the protection plans on the appliances that use water as was suggested- and have used the service when we had an install issue with the dishwasher- the issue was resolved immediately and our kitchen is gorgeous! more

Ask for Rose 4/1/2009

You have to know what you want and what you will pay as there are good values mixed with over priced stuff. However, if you are patient you can find very good values. Ask for Rose as she has been very good about helping research things and provides excellent follow up. more

Double charge 11/23/2008

We were also double charged almost a year ago from the same place. We got it resolved however it is an annoyance especially with tight budgets of today. Seems to me that they havent fixed the "computer glitch" since last year? Crazy.... Other than that there are some great deals from this location. more

Computer Glitch 11/22/2008

Anyone else had a problem with getting charged again recently from a purchase made back in 2007? They call it a computer glitch. I am still trying to get my money back from being charged twice. more

RipOFF 11/22/2008

Anyone aware that if you charged anything within the last year to check your checking account to see if they charged you again? I found out they had a computer glitch and it has happened to more than one person. I am still trying to get my money back for a double charge on a purchase made back in 2007 that was recently charged to my account again. more

Sears Outlet - Scratch & Dent 10/12/2006

For those in the Seattle area who were unaware, Sears has an appliance outlet in Tacoma. It has scratch and dent applicnaces at some steep discounts. We got a fridge there for about $800 less than MSRP. We paid a bit more than our budget, but its because we were able to get so much more out of that money than we had even hoped for. They have all sorts of appliances and accessories. Our fridge had a barely noticeable scratch on the front edge, and they were even nice enough to throw in touch up paint in the right color for FREE. Some of the fridges had nothing noticeable wrong expect maybe a missing shelf. Delivery is self service, so if you don't have the strength or transportation you'll have to arrange it on your own separately. They do have several services they refer, and the one we used worked well. They even moved our old fridge to the garage for us. It's worth the drive south. more
