To help clarify..... Fish laying on their side are put into a coma type sleep. This is why fish are usually shipped in little water so they are forced on their side and sleeping. This is less stressful on the fish and creates little to no waste in the small amount of water while shipping. If you are going to comment on something first please know the facts. Almost every store recieves and acclimated fish in this way (buckets). If you frequent enough stores you will see it everywhere. For the fish a solid bucket is less stressful than being in a bag under bright lights unable to flee and scared to death! Every store will have dead fish its part of the hobby and part of being a store. May have been a sick batch, who knows. I see the occasional dead fish. If you didn't notice its not as easy for woody as it is for other people to be able to get to the tanks and remove fish right on the spot! Woody has a good selection of healthy fish and inverts and coral prices that cannot be beat anywhere. Wish you were not quite so far out of the Portland general area but its worth the drive.
