DESERVES ZERO STARS!!!
Feb; 2011: I dropped off a cushion cover for zipper repair. Ticket said repair would take 10 days and would be ready for pick up 2/14/11. I spoke with seamstress on 2/9/11 to see if the item may have been ready early - it was not. I called on 2/17/11 (3 days AFTER the pick up date). The item was not ready; when I questioned this and asked why, the employee ""RAND"" told me I could ""come and pick it up""..I was confused and asked if he was saying that because he made a mistake and the item was ready or because they weren't going to fix it at all? RAND said: :THAT'S RIGHT!"" and HUNG UP ON ME?!? Of course, he would not pick up the phone when I called back after that. I picked up my un-repaired item from the store a few days later and from that point on, left messages for the manager ""Phillip"" but RAND would not give messages him (Phillip told me he'd received no messages in the 2 week period I'd left them with RAND). I tried calling a week later and RAND hung up on me AGAIN, MULTIPLE TIMES, when I wanted to leave a message for Philip and again, wouldn't answer the phone (turned it to fax a few times too)...then the seamstress answers, she tells me to call Monday at 7am when Philip will be back in the office. I tell her that's not good for me and I'd simply like to have Philip return my call; SHE hangs up on me?! After that, nobody would answer the phone. I called back a little later and when RAND sees my # on call display he proceeds to hang up on me every time he picks up (no wonder repairs aren't being completed). Finally, RAND picks up and threatens to call the police on me for harassment?!?! I told him I would continue to call until he took the message for Philip and his behaviour was unacceptable. Philip called me back within 30 min. and couldn't have cared a less about this incident. I asked for the name of the business owner and Philip WOULD NOT give me anything more that the owners first name (""Kevin"") and told me I could look up the rest on sunbiz (dot org). Philip told me the owner wouldn't answer calls; I said I'd write a letter; Philip said, the mailing address is the Scotty's location and the owner RARELY picks up his mail. I said, ""So, I guess you're telling me nobody cares about the way customers are treated?"" and he said...""uh...no but..that's a lot of energy you're wasting"" (I let him know I had ample energy to spend and not to worry so much about me all of a sudden). I asked why he was so shady about giving the owners info specially if it's public info avail. on line.!?!? he didn't have an answer. Of course, sunbiz (dot org) is a nightmare to find any info. on and it truly seems like Scotty's doesn't give a rats-rear-end about customers OR service. From the online reviews, CLEARLY, I'm not the only one who's suffered abuse from these INCOMPETENT JERKS.
It is awful to think people are paying for this treatment and decent people, who WANT AND NEED JOBS, can't get any while JERKS like this are being paid to ABUSE PAYING CUSTOMERS and LAUGH IN THEIR FACE.
This is SHAMEFUL and if my time will save ONE other person from having this blood-pressure raising experience, it is worth it.
