Visited for depression. 1st visit. She asked if I had any difficulty ""staying on task"" (a hallmark sign of depression, right?). I answered honestly, ""Yes"". She raised her eyebrows and bugged out her eyes (body language for shock and dismay) and said, ""You work on ENGINES for a living! I would hope that you would be able to stay on task!"". Well, I'm no mental health professional but this seems to me a very judgmental statement, no? I felt scolded just for admitting to having a classic symptom of the very illness I am asking her to help me through! Told her I didn't like the way she was talking to me. Offered to pay whatever I owed her and left. Writing this to help others make a decision on which therapist to see. More people need to write reviews so its not such a ""needle in a haystack"" process to find a counselor who you like.
