Horrible, fixed the symptoms of a deeper problem and overcharged. When asked what was causing a leak when something seemingly unrelated was turned off his response was simply ""I have never seen anything like that before"".\r \r Our water heater company who do not even do major plumbing work, came out for free and 30 minutes later had diagnosed the problem. The water pressure regulator was not working correctly and the pressure in our house was 2x normal. more

DON'T HIRE ANYONE FROM THIS COMPANY TO DO ANY WORK FOR YOU OR ANYONE ELSE!!! And read cruzer123's review below. Sarkinen is a RIP OFF! They charge per job, not by the hour, and they WAY overcharge. Their work is shoddy, too. I used to work in carpentry & in sheet metal and I know second rate work when I see it. An employee from Sarkinen replaced a tub handle in our home a couple weeks ago. The cost was $500+. I already had the handle and there was already an access panel in the adjacent room. It took less than an hour to complete the job and it wasn't even done professionally. After the employee said the job was completed and left, I took a shower and noticed the shower pipe was loose and the pipe ring wasn't sealed, allowing moisture to enter the wall. I called to have them come back and complete the job correctly and when the employee arrived I was told that they didn't touch the pipe. That they had worked on the pipes below. First, it wan't like that before they worked on it and second, the pipes are all connected to each other back there - come on! So, he sealed the ring, told me he was done & left. Job still not done correctly. So, that was $500 for 1 hours worth of labor the teenager next door could have done better. In addition, the plumber replaced the tub spout and took the old one without asking. He claimed the old one didn't work with the new valve. Fine if that is true. But taking my fixture without saying a word to me about it is theft! As this is my mom's home, she did the hiring. She had another plumbing matter that needed to be taken care of ASAP & just had him do this as a side job while he was here. This cheat of a company takes advantage of people and hiring them was a mistake. One that we will not be making again. more

We started our plumbing problems with a flood in the bathroom. Tracked it back to our 40 yr. old toilet. our daughter went online to Home Connection who contacted several plumbers in our area. Within 20 minutes Jerry from Sarkinen Plumbing contacted us. He was very patient with me as I tried to explain our problem. He suggested we contact One 800 Water Restoration to dry out our floor. While our floor was being dried out Ron from Sarkinen came out and replaced my toilet with a new one. He gave me the name of a company to order my new flooring and molding. The flooring was not in stock so had to be ordered. It would take a week to come from the manufacture. The date for delivery happened on a friday holiday. It was promised for that following Monday. No delivery. Try for Tuesday - no delivery. Sarkinen then contacted the company and ruffled some feathers. My flooring was going to be shipped over night from Georgia. I got the call from Jeff stating he was on his way to pick up the flooring and would call me when he was enroute to my house. Once Jeff got to the house he was a workaholic. He measured and laid my flooring out in no time. My husband was most impressed with the fact he took his hands and smoothed the flooring in place. The next day Jeff and Jerry came back to to paint and put my sink cabinet in place. I now have a bathroom that I would be proud to show anyone. We thank Sarkinen and all of their employees for a remarkable job. I will recommend them to anyone needing a plumber. more

We started with a simple crack in the gutter drain line, thought we could handle ourselves, but it was Sarkinen Plumbing who figured out why the drains were still not draining! It was those lovely christmas light clips that a previous owner had used, which ended up in the lines. With thier patience and experience, they were able to retrieve clips and flush out all the built up gunk because of this mess and once again we have a working rain gutter to storm line!!! Which we very much need here in the Pacific Northwest. They even checked and flushed all the lines, not just the one we called on. They were very polite, professional and completed the job in the same day. No worries, explained and shared information, job done correctly the first time, back to normal life, that is what you want when it comes to repairs on your home. Simple for you, and they made that happen. Thank you so much, you guys are outstanding. more

On the hottest day the summer had to offer, my thermostat went out. I contacted Sarkinen just before the close of the business day and was told ""you will hear from someone first thing in the morning"". I figured I would receive a phone call when they opened the next day. To my surprise I did not hear from someone, rather, they were knocking at the front door! My thermostat was fixed and I was up and running in no time. What an incredibly pleasant surprise! The crew was careful to check their feet, they were courteous and kind, and got the job done for a reasonable rate. Outstanding company. Absolutely stellar. more

My experience with Sarkinen Plumbing was exceptional! I had a horrible leaking faucet so i needed to call someone asap the phone was answered after the 1st ring! After an hour i had a service tech knocking on my door (fast people). The service man had a mat at his feet and shoe covers on, he was very professional and the nicest man! I was very happy to see a plumbing company that respected me and my home...... The tech got my faucet fixed at a great price and in no time it worked like new! I was so pleased with everything they did i will now recommend Sarkinen to all my friends!!!!! more

My toilet has had issues since I've moved into my home, I've had 3 different plumbing companies out to try and fix the problem and still the toilet kept on clogging and gurgling?? I was at my wits end until i called Sarkinen Plumbing they let me know over the phone that there would be no charge to come check out what the problem was and in no time were at my front door.... Great plumber he was, Mike introduced himself with smile (very customer service orientated man) and got to work after checking out my toilet he gave me a price asking me if he should go ahead and do the repair at that price very reasonable! Anyways since Sarkinen has been out i have not had an issue with my toilet thank you very much! more

So I called these guys after one of my urinals was backed up. They quoted me a standard rate for a plumber on a weekend and I agreed....no big deal...I need it done, right?....So the plumber, I think his name was Donny, Showed up and did the job. No big deal...till he handed me the bill, and it was two hundred LESS than I was quoted over the phone. Now mind you, I've only been in business for myself for two years now. What I've learned is that people will take advantage of you whenever you turn your back. What I found with these guys, is that they are a small company and are doing what you should be doing right now. That is honest work for honest pay.
