A taste of Chinatown in the suburbs! High quality asian cuisine in an unlikely location. Squeezed in between a Carvel and nail salon and overshadowed by the Whole Foods, Sang Kee Asian Bistro is a great dine in and take out restaurant. Service is quick and very family friendly. If you're not sure what to order, try the noodle soup with your choice of roast pork, duck and/or wontons. Generous servings at a great price. You can't beat the flavors! more

Best won ton soup 6/25/2008

I usually go there once a week and when I do, i usually always get something different but i always start out with a bowl of their exceptional won ton soup. It is not like the usual won ton soup that you get from a take out place. It is totally different. I recommed that you try it. Pros: service Cons: very noisy and long wait on friday nights more

Pleasant surpise 10/29/2006

When a suburban friend brought me here for dinner, I was expecting your average Chinese restaurant. Sure, it's decorated nicer than the average Chinese place, but I figured that is what people on the Main Line are accustomed to. What I wasn't expecting, however, was Chinese food that defied expectations. With the changing of the seasons and the chill in the air, I started out with the house tea. It was hot, delicious, made from healthy ingredients and just the thing my immune system was looking for. Another stand out item at Sang Kee is their General Tso's Shrimp with brown rice. The dishes here are flavored impecably and still good for you. Also, check out Sang Kee's sister establishment by the same name in Chinatown. Pros: Healthy, Unique Cons: Loud, Long waits more

good food, nicely prepared 10/27/2006

Ok - It's Friday night, everyone coming from ( or skipping) services and the place is full to capacity. You're going to have a good fifteen minute or more wait. The food here is very nicely prepared. There's something a bit unique in every selection: something that suggests a fresh and individual touch. The prices are a bit higher than most Chinese restaurants, but the finish of the selections seems to justify it. \r The one major drawback is the noise. Like so many places these days, from the chic bars of the Northern Liberties to the upscale Morimoto, the ambiance seems created to enhance noise.\r Noise must suggest to the newly arrived that they are dining in a place teaming with the frenetic activity of their progressive lives. (I have to wonder if they have ever eaten on a veranda overlooking the bay of Naples.)\r So, if you don't mind a bit of a wait and you are deaf to the din, give this place a try. The food may be worth the shortcomings which you may not even notice. Pros: good food, unique tastes Cons: noise, noise, noise! more
