We lived in this community for 3 years. It was a great place to live at the beginning, but in 2009, San Montego has become an old Condo in particular the constructions and the apartments amenities...They tried to improve the apartments but compared with what you can find all around, it is not worth the price you have to pay. The last 2 months the AC got so old that the air was blowing hot without cooling down... the maintenance couldn't fix it correctly although they came almost every week to try to fix it...at the end, it was not fixed and we had to pay 2 times 600$ eletricity bill per month because the AC was running non stop!
Also, at the end we didn't feel safe anymore because the outdoor gate was always broken and remained open all day long and sometimes nights, in particular during the week ends !
I agree also with a previous review about the way you can hear your neighbors.
Yes the grounds, the pool, (...knowing that the sauna never worked..), the Yoga classes and the appearances are nice, but , I wouldn't recommend a friend to live in a noisy, unsafe and getting old community.
Pros: landscape, grounds, pool, free classes
Cons: getting old,...safety, noise and apartment's ametities
