Worst

We went there twice this week. The first time to observe the class we were considering, the other time to do a trial class. The classes we saw/participated in were for kids 3-4....

We went there twice this week. The first time to observe the class we were considering, the other time to do a trial class. The classes we saw/participated in were for kids 3-4. Both times, there were a good group of kids, and two teachers. I also saw at the same time there were kids from 4-5 with other teachers. Both times I saw teachers not being able to pay attention to some kids or such, that kids would fall without being noticed. \r \r When my son tried the class, one of the teacher were really uninterested. Since it was my son's first class, he didn't yet get the routine and would sometimes not being able to follow all the instructions. If i didn't go over and help him, they seemed ok to just let him be. Towards the end, something came up and no one was in the front or something, one of the teacher left to take care of admin stuff and only left the other to attend to all the children. Great Learning enviroment 10/15/2006

My daughter took gymnastics when she was young. The teachers there were all very dedicated and very patient with all. The fact that they must have done something "right" my daughter ended up teaching there for a few years and continues to teach gymnastics at 23yrs old. They really made a life long impression on her and me. more

Best gymnastics center in the area 10/5/2006

San Mateo Gymnastics is a great place to take your children for fun recreational gymnastics and one of the best gymnastics centers for team gymnastics. Their coaches are carefully picked and range in variety for every students need. They are fun loving, and can make any child experience a great one. They have all the new and best equipment, including 3 foam pits that are great for learning new skills and fun for the younger kids. There is a sepreate gym for the younger students that is full of fun and colorful equipment and a gigantic castle with a foam pit and a room off balls. I would recomend this gymnastics center for any child and for their birthdays too! PROS: Pits, castle, coaches and great birthday parties CONS: can get crowded and hectic more

This is a great gym! 9/29/2006

I love to work out at San Mateo because they have a huge pit that you can try your new skills into. The coaches there are serious, but also know how to make gymnastics enjoyable. PROS: The Pit. CONS: Lots of things going on at once. more
