I had my car towed here for $40, got a $75 diagnostic, and was told parts and services for a starter and neutral switch was $570. When driving away to find money, I was approached with a new bill for $650, he forgot(?) to add labor for 1 item. I went back to say I could not afford that much; I'm a student just trying to make it on school loans. I asked if they could just tow it back to my home 4 blocks away. They then stated that I would now have to pay $230 for towing both ways and now a new two diagnostics for $75 each item diagnosed. I said it wasn't on the first estimate for two diagnostics, he told me I had to pay cash today or I would be charged $30/night; that now totaled all the money I had. So I gave in and told them at 3pm to tow my car home, they said consider it done. I got home again at 7pm, no car. Today, it is 11am; I have no non-working car in my driveway and fear that I will no be charged even more for no service, except now two diagnostics. I don't know what to do and fear that I will be charged. By the way, I never signed anything. Lastly and with regret; I have always tried to support the small business owner, but that was the biggest mistake I have made obviously and will not make it again. \r
Update 03/29/07-My car was returned and driven my shop employees to my house. I had my car towed to a trusted family friend 45 miles away; he informed me it was just the a battery. I paid for nothing. \r
Another update 03/30/07- I received a call today from the manager in response to the letter I sent to the company that's number is one all auto shop walls in which he stated, I was a lier and an ""expletive,"" nothing but an oriental who thinks he is American, nothing but a ""expletive"" oriental. What is ironic is I am not even oriental. \r
