Salon 505 The Day Spa

Being an ex-employee of this salon, I would give future job seekers interested in this place to, honestly look at your options. It's a lovely establishment, which does lure you in, but management isn't organized much at all. The way the sliding scale commission is set up, isn't worth it. EX: you bring into the salon $400> you only get 5% of that. You don't get paid enough for what you bring in for the company. The salon coordinator, Bailey, is rude and should be more professional than she is seeing that her mother owns the salon. Other staff members seem miserable there and are unapproachable to speak to. They need to offer in salon training for stylists right out of cosmetology school as well. They seem to not be able to handle big groups without confusion either. All around this salon isn't as great as the fancy decor makes it seem to be. The atmosphere is dull, not much lively spirits here. I trust and value the entire staff at Salon 505's Westlake location...Friendly and clean atmosphere, Professional staff that knows exactly what they are doing- From scheduling appointments to hair cuts and color, waxing and hair extensions....They have had my business for the last 5 years and I wouldn't dream of going to another Salon...I am one VERY satisfied customer! more

I recently got a manicure/pedicure at the Westlake location and it was the worst that I have ever gotten! It took about two hours to get both done and it looked like I could have done a better job. I have been to the Arboretum location before and everything has always been great. I would not waste my time or money at Westlake- but the Arboretum location is not to be missed. more

I was given a gift certificate for a Half Day of Beauty and I am highly impressed! My massage (by Nicole) was the best I have ever received! I felt so relaxed and I wasn't finished yet! Anna gave me my facial and it was fabulous. I think I even fell asleep! Then I was off to see Gina for my mani/pedi. She kept me entertained the whole time and did a great job with my nails (didn't think it was possible). I Highly Reccomend going to Salon 505 at Westlake! You won't be dissapointed!! I've had my hair done (for my wedding), and had massages, facials, and pedicures at the Westlake location. Nicole Dunham is a great massage therapist. The facility is well kept and comfortable as well, with the unfortunate exception of the shower. Hope they clean that up soon. Otherwise, I have always been happy with the salon services I have received here. Professional staff, great results, and a nice facility -- that's what I look for in a salon spa.
