I'm not sure one star is fair for the whole salon. However I will not be going back there after several times since the stylist I was seeing did exactly what I asked her not to do. I told her what I wanted and what I didn't want for color. She was unable to do what I asked for (its a pretty popular look, so any stylist in this price range in a salon trying to portray this image should be able to do it), she claimed that she couldn't go in with bleach. However she did go in bleach, she just did the typical partial foil I asked her NOT to do. I think she didn't know how to do what I asked for. It wouldn't have taken her any longer or been more damaging for her to do what I asked for. Additionally, she took off three inches off the layers when I said I wanted to grow them out. And finally she made the mistake of diffusing my hair, which just makes it frizzy. She didn't ask how I wanted it styled, just diffused it because she thought I would fall for it and she could get me in and out. I know all the tricks because I was a hairstylist for 10 years, and I know why stylist diffuse hair w/out asking. She wasn't running behind either. This girl is never booked on a Saturday, if a stylist is wide open on a Saturday, thats generally not a good sign. All I will say is her name starts with a J, ends with an A and has an U,I, & L in it. I can't really say my hair looks horrible, though its not good hair to razor (which she did), but its exactly what I asked her not to do. So she gets a D- for being lazy and having a sense of entitlement. Personally, I think its her attitude more than anything. No stylist who thinks its all about them is worth seeing twice. At least do a better job faking that you are interested in your client. Maybe she hates her job or something, if thats the case she should just move along and find a different line of work.
Pros: some of the other people seemed nice
Cons: the one who cut my hair has no people skills, is lazy, has no charm, and outdated styling/coloring techniques
