Salas Sunless Airbrush Tanning

I was so excited to use my gift certificate at Salas but I couldn't reach them to make an appointment. I even contacted my friend who gave me the GC and she tried and couldn't reach them either. Perhaps they were on vacation - but they NEVER returned my calls. \r \r Now - I finally started a calling/emailing campaign (beginning Jan 3rd) and got a call back from a restricted number today, 1/10. It was from Frank. We played phone tag a few times and finally spoke. Frank happily told me my GC had expired. He offered to make an appt for me and charge $60 for a spray tan. No problem - except he wouldn't give me any credit for the expired certificate. \r \r I have been getting perfect spray tans at Nordstroms for years and believe I'll continue with them. They charge $45 and the service is perfect.....Nordstrom good! \r Why deal with their poor customer service at their convenience when so many credible spas exist?\r \r Be warned, do not buy a gift certificate from Frank! more

I've used Salas for all my wedding activities and every single time my tan has been extremely sexy looking =)\r \r I do want to mention that if you are trying to get a last minute appointment, it is pretty flippin' hard , so plan accordingly!!!\r \r more

I was a former sun worshipper back in my day and I've got the skin cancer to prove it. I've been pale as a ghost for the last 10 years because all that nasty self tanning stuff doesn't look good on me or anybody else for that matter. My daughter was getting married and I just had to get a dash of color in and after doing some research Salas just seemed like the only logical place to go after reading all the reviews on here. I used to get airbrush tanning done at my salon but they no longer offered it because too many people were complaining and were not consistent. My hair dresser recommended that we try doing a custom airbrush tan at Salas since they do this cool color match deal to your eye and hair color or something like that. I tried it out and it was just an extremely more pleasant experience. I thought it was a tanning salon but they only do the spray tans at their salon. I thought that was kinda neat! Anyway my session was literally like 10 minutes , I asked the lady if she got everything because my salon used to take about 30 or so minutes to do this. She said I was good to go. I was a little nervous because I just wasn't used to this length of appointment time but the lady who did my tan assured me that they are fully trained and I thought to myself if all the reviews on here were good then it had to be good. I did the whole wait to shower thing and when I showered I was extremely impressed. You know how when you get a mystic tan or spray tan and you look really good from all that color they first spray on? And then it washed off and you look nothing like that? Well I wasn't as dark (but I was dark enough, just where I needed to be) but the color was the same. I looked really good. My tan lasted about a week and the fading was great I didn't see my usual skin peeling that I was used to, great fading. I thought these people were crazy when they said spray tanning was addicting... well it is. Pros: fading, color, color match more

I should start off by saying that I work for a very prestigous hotel in the DFW area where we actually offer many spa services and its my job to go around and sample different products/services and offer those services in my hotel's salon. \r \r We were looking at adding sunless tanning so I did my homework. I did sample a couple of other locations becuase it is my job and I got the typical results: skin disease type fading , orange, orange, oh and I did I say orange? I also got a lot of stickyness, orange hands and feet, and I swear some of the SMELLS that are left behind are simply disgusting.\r \r I left Salas Sunless to the very end, to see if they were -really- as good as everybody says they are. When I arrived, I got the rundown again about properly exfoliating and removing makeup, etc. They were the only place to ask or even go into this much detail about properly preparing.\r \r The girl showed me my room and I got down into my unmentionables and she came in and we did the tan! It was very quick and I didn't feel like I was getting blasted by a firetruck water hose! It was a very nice, relaxing mist . After she was done (the quickest out of all of the services I had tried, I want to say less than 10 minutes) I was completely dry , not sticky one bit and best of all.... NO SMELL. OH MY GOD. So far so good.\r \r Now I then took a shower the next morning and the color was just so natural looking. Could they -really- be -this- good? I was inspecting for flaws, mistakes, I even asked my husband and kids to try to find anything wrong but they all said it looked very natural and they couldn't tell it was a fake tan.\r \r Oh yeah, the people who say its addicting are not lying! I was told by my dermatologist that I was not allowed to tan in a tanning bed anymore due to my sun damaged skin and potential for skin cancer. Not a big problem right? Well I can't even tan in the sun either. So I thought about doing airbrush tanning and I just did a quick google search for sunless tanning and Salas Sunless popped up.\r \r I saw all the reviews online, did some research at other companies and there were absolutely no bad reviews on Salas so I booked my appointment.\r \r I thought I needed to build up my tan like a tanning bed but was pleasantly surprised to see that it took less than 20 minutes and I only needed one session.\r \r I'm a busy girl so anytime I can look good and in a hurry is even better.\r \r The tan lasted me about a week and a half and looked great , my boyfriend also loves it =) Pros: Color, lack of smell, pretty much everything more

Okay, so like you know how us girls are right? We research the heck out of everything before we try it, we call around, get prices, get information and all that hot mess.\r \r Well after doing all my homework and talking to all the places that offered sunless tanning I decided to go to Salas Tanning. The reviews online were stellar, plus the lady who I spoke to was really helpful and knew her stuff. I also liked the fact that they werent renting out a room in a tanning salon or spa ... YUCK. I'm fixing to get naked I don't want other people seeing me in a tiny old room!\r \r Anyway....... the place was really eccentric and the lady who did my tan was very nice and very helpful with information on how to make my tan last long and I so had like one thousand questions for her.\r \r I waited til the next morning to take a shower and when I did I just loved the gorgeous color. I mean , NO ORANGE from a SUNLESS TAN...... not even a little bit. There wasn't that usual chemical after smell you usually get with lotions or mystic tans. I was going to a charity ball in Dallas and with all this snow around and bad weather lately, I have not got any color!\r \r I called up and booked my appointment IMMEDIATELY after reading the reviews online. These guys had to be doing something right, right? \r \r I am so glad that I did. After my appointment I instantly had a tan, when I showered the next morning, the color was absolutely beautiful. I am an unofficial sunless tanning expert. I have all the creams, lotions, sprays for doing at home sunless tanning. I had tried all the mystic tanning and the like as well as airbrush tanning in salons.\r \r I heard about this place in Colleyville that had a pretty good reputation and I hopped online to do some of my own information hunting. \r \r When I booked my appointment, I received all of the pre and post care instructions so I was good to go. I did the exfoliation treatment at the salon so I didn't have to worry about anything. \r \r After I got my airbrush tan, I slept in it over night, took a shower and I was amazingly surprised at the quality and coverage of my spray tan. There were no streaks, no spots, NOTHING. The girl who did my tan did a good job. \r \r My tan lasted just about a week on me and when it was gone, I was craving to come back in. This is a very addicting treatment, but I love it! Pros: Delightful experience, loved the color more

I am very satisfied with my experience at Salas. The color was great, they do this cool thing where match your color to your skin tone. I was surprised to see how fast it took. I think I was done in less than 20 minutes. Very perfect color indeed. I have only done a versa spa before and I like to do some research online and check out prices,locations, and all that jazz and by far all the reviews led me to Salas. It is most certainly addicting, the thing I like best is that my skin doesn't get any damage at all. I started looking for sunless tanning alternatives because my dermatologist didn't recommend me tanning in a tanning bed anymore. This is a very great alternative and I will be back! I had a HUGE event in Dallas for the All Star weekend , like, celebrity huge. I did not want to be pasty white for this event so I did a google search to find out where the best place to get an airbrush tan was since I didnt have time to build up a tan and from the reviews on here I decided to get an airbrush tan from Salas Sunless.\r \r I was very nervous and anxious to see how it turned out but just like everybody else I had a great experience and I was looking very ""LA"" at my event in Dallas. I actually have a tanning bed in my house and my dermatologist ordered me to stop so I did and I have been trying all types of sunless tanning. Like many other people who have posted before me I like to do my research and the accolades across the board made it a no-brainer that Salas Sunless was the best place to get an airbrush tan in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.\r \r I was kind of nervous because I had a couple of spray tans before that didn't turn out so well but the girl who gave me my tan was very knowlegeable and put my tensions to rest. \r \r After my tan I looked great immediately and when I showered I looked even better. I was a seasonal tanning bed user until my best girlfriend got skin cancer and we all stopped tanning, we went around looking for the best looking sunless tanning here in the DFW metroplex. We tried our usual spots in Uptown Dallas and there were some horror stories there. After doing our homework we finally wanted to try this place we kept on hearing about in Colleyville that does awesome work so we sent one of our friends in to see if it was worth the drive since we live in Plano and she came back looking great. I love the color of my tan, it looks very natural and best of all none of us have any chance for skin cancer! Definitely worth the drive for us! Pros: Color, no skin damage, takes 15 minutes more

I was looking for where I could get the best spray on tan in the dfw area online and I found all the reviews on here and I am glad to say I am happy I went here.\r \r Everything was great and it lasted a long time. I have done a lot of sunless tanning from everything from the self tanners to the machines that you stand in to getting airbrushed done. I have had so-so airbrush tans before, but they mostly came out either ugly, orange, patchy, streaky, smelly, sticky in some way. I found out about this place from my hair dresser who told me about a place that only does airbrush tanning and actually configures the color of their sunless tans to each client and I was sold, I had to book my tan. When I called in, the girl was very nice and thorough in giving instructions and booking the appointment. My session only took about 10 minutes, the person applying my airbrush tan was very well versed in what she was doing. I was not sticky or smelly after my session -- great so far. I showered the next morning to be beautifully bronzed and no streaks, no spots, no patches, and most of all NO ORANGE. My husband was complimenting me and he usually makes fun of me when I get a ""fake tan"". The tan lasted more than a week on me and faded great. Everybody is right -- YOU GET ADDICTED! I ended up choosing this sunless tanning salon becuase they only do airbrush tanning as their main service and they did a color match to my specific skin type and some other features\r \r The tan lasted 12 days on me, there was no streaks or spots, it was very even and I had a perfect tan! I used to do the whole mystic tan thing where you go inside the machine at Planet Beach becuase I'm super white and I don't want any wrinkles but I was having a christmas party for my job and I didn't want to look funny in the dress I was gonna wear I did some research online and I was looking for a reputable place to get a sunless tan and I found Salas. I drive about 45 minutes to Colleyville from North Dallas to get a spray a tan from Sunless Salas becuase it is absolutely amazing i love the color and everything about it it fades great lasts longer than a mystic If only they had a location in the Dallas area , it would be perfect for me!
