The menu was comfusing and i consider myself a smart person :( I did not like how we could only order certain dishes on the menu. I did not like how everyone got to eat what i was ordering for myself. I went there thinking i was going to eat sushi...and ended up with a tiny tiny plate of chicken, Dissapointed. What i was forced to order was good. i was unhappy... Im VERY easy to please when i get to order what i like. bummer more

I had dinner tonight and here are my impressions:\r \r Hotel is a Wannabe Hotel W, just passing through the lobby noticed that housekeeping was lacking, heavy layer of dust on chandeliers and furniture. \r \r Food Was delicious\r Portions are VERY small\r Prices are Very Expensive ( $191 for three)\r Very Rushed server we had our complete dinner in 45 minutes\r Server needs more training, brought check without asking if we wanted desert, and never cleaned the table until I asked her.\r \r NOT going Back! Too many great alternatives in this town. more

I didn't think this was much better than some other sushi places that are a lot less expensive. Unless you want sushi by the pool I don't get it. more

People seem so desperate to like sushi it's really quite entertaining. The sushi here costs double what you'd pay elsewhere. It's not twice as good. more

I had a nice dinner with my wife. The place was mostly empty and the decor had the new car look and feel. We sat at the sushi bar and started off with some sake, beer, and wine. The trifecta:) The sake is expensive, but what's cool is that you get to select what serving vessel you want it poured in. I chose a nice stone one with a matching stone cup. They also have the traditional square bamboo cup which looked interesting, but I'll pick that one next time.\r \r Make no mistake that this place is expensive. We ate some surf clam, a blue crab roll, and a tropical roll. The blue crab roll was my favorite. I never had mango in a roll before so the tropical roll was a first for me. It was tasty and even looked to pretty to eat (see pic).\r \r Service was excellent and we even got to meet the head chef (see pic).\r \r Overall, great meal, drinks, view, service, and ambiance. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry! more

I've always liked this corner of Sunrise and A1A with the building set back from the street, simple landscaping and a graceful, sweeping circular drive. The restaurant takes full advantage of the view and the constant parade outside. The interior is cool and calm with unique globular pendant lights dancing above the tables. The menu was not as extensive as much sushi restaurants, but what it lacked in length, it made up for in creativity. We loved the Ocean Blue and Dragonfire rolls. The entire menu is served tapas or family style. We ordered three times with food continually at the table. The meal was so good, and surprisingly filling, that we didn't have room for dessert. I was particularly tempted by the mango and lemongrass creme brulee. And I can't forget to mention the drink menu with very unique creations. I had to try the Hello Kitty, a sweet, gingery concoction. And my date had the bi-polar with whipped egg whites on top. The restaurant makes it's own ginger soda which packs a kick and is oh-so fragrant. We'll definitely going back soon. Two thumbs up, way up! more

All I can say is WOW! SAIA was amazing! I think SAIA @ B Ocean Ft. Lauderdale is going to be the next happening place on Ft. Lauderdale beach. All the sushi and seafood was fresh and very delicious. The presentation was amazing and service was perfection. You must try the scallop wrapped with tuna, tuna tartar, dragon roll with tuna on top, wagu beef with shishito peppers, crispy fish, jalepeno hamachi. We even had two of some items. The sake, cocktails and wine list was fantastic. It goes on my list of favorite restaurants. Can't wait to go back. more
