Best

always my fav and i eat sushi like it's going out of style

Worst

The sushi here is very fresh and of good quality, but the rolls were rather boring. I tend to enjoy maki with added in flavors such as the spicy mayo or eel sauce. Not overprice...

Man, I gotta tell you all, I don't know where you've all been eating raw fish lately, but this is the place. I have had the best white tuna EVER here, and believe me, I'v eaten lots of tuna. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the food is consistently great. When we eat out, we want sushi. Try something different from the menu, and ask for a recommendation, you won't be disappointed. When we want sushi, we eat at Sai. Hard to park but well worth every minute your mouth is salivating. Pros: holy moly, yummage, fresh more

OMG - BAD CHOICE! 6/13/2003

I can't believe Chicagoans rate this as on of the best we have to offer for sushi! I've eaten sushi from a grocery store that is better! The edamame was half cooked and the spicy tuna tasted like it had BBQ sauce. The CA Roll was a nightmare - STAY AWAY! more

ick! 1/6/2003

I didn't enjoy this place much. The sushi, I felt, was below par. The restaurant was large and nice, but the selection and quality of the food put me off. Go to Kamahachi instead. MUCH better. :) Pros: looks nice Cons: bad selection, bad sushi, Kamahachi is better! more

Fresh, but no flair 10/22/2002

The sushi here is very fresh and of good quality, but the rolls were rather boring. I tend to enjoy maki with added in flavors such as the spicy mayo or eel sauce. Not overpriced, but I'd rather spend my money on something more exciting. more

sushi at its best 9/7/2002

the sai cafe is a place for real sushi lovers and is worth every penny. more

Great Sushi 8/16/2002

Try this not so trendy sushi spot in Lincon Park. Great food and great people make up for average and not so trendy surrundings. A must try! Pros: Affordable, Tasty, Fresh more

Not sure what the hype is about 7/30/2002

Sai Cafe, Sai Cafe. That is all I hear. But after going, I think none of those people even know what good sushi is supposed to taste like. Not Fresh, dark and gloomy atmosphere, service so-so. But when I got the bill I couldn't believe I had wasted an evening eating not so great sushi at a higher price. Terrible. Will never go back. Cons: Sushi, Price, Atmosphere more

Excellent 7/5/2002

This is one of the few Sushi places in Chicago that has great food, great service, great ambience and great romantic appeal. More so, when we got the bill, it all seemed more than worth it. Pros: service, food, ambience more

Best Sushi in Town 5/27/2002

Sai Cafe is consistently a standout suhi restaurant. We've had sushi there 20 to 30 times and have never had a dissappointing experience. Their rolls and individual pieces are always excellent and extremely fresh. I have yet to find a better dragon roll in the city. The service is consistently good, even when the restaurant is packed, which is often. Sai has a nice, low key atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone. Pros: Great sushi, Good value, Reliable service Cons: Can get crowded, Difficult to park more
