I was a first time customer on 1-17-2014. I asked if they changed out watch batteries and was told ""yes."" I chose this jewelry store because I was impressed by the website information and felt comfortable that my watch would be professionally serviced. All seemed well with the courtesy extended to me as I waited for my watch to be serviced. I paid, although it seemed somewhat pricey for a battery, but chalked it up to professional add-on. Imagine my distress when I returned home and saw exactly how badly it was scratched and gouged by the lady who did it. When I came in, there were no scratches at all. My husband and I came back into the store today to converse with the owner about it. Immediately he told us that he tells his staff to not hurt themselves over scratching up the watch cases. That his $30,000 Rolex had scratches on it. He did not seem to feel any empathy over it. My husband reasoned that it was unnecessary to scratch a watch case when patience and the proper method was used. The lady that had done it, hardly admitted she scratched it. I stated over the years and many times a battery was changed it was never scratched. My opinion of the owner was that he could not have cared less and nothing of a solution was advised by him, but my husband mentioned that they could try to buff out the scratches and they agreed. We left my watch and returned to pick it up and it is much improved, but in no way the way it was before they damaged it. I would not advise anyone to use this jewelry store and there are many many more to choose from. I do not own a $30,000 Rolex, but I do own a $250.00 Seiko watch that I worked hard to pay for.
