I would NEVER go back there again! 7/1/2011

While dining at Rudy's Mexican Restaurant, my companion bit into a METAL SPRING which was in the Chicken Burrito. The spring was about the size of a small spring insert from a mechanical pen. Upon reporting this to the server, she got the manager who was very NONCHALANT about the situation. He proceeded to take the metal spring in a napkin and walk away. It was not until we called him back and brought attention that his disregard to the situation as was troubling, did he attempt to apologize or offer to compensate for that particular food item. This whole situation was very concerning and disgusting. It made us wonder about the food preparation area and cleanliness of their kitchen as well as their customer service skills. I've reported them to the BBB and will share this experience with as many people as I can... truly DISGUSTING. more

Worst Mexican Food EVER! 5/1/2009

We were in Milwaukee this week and decided to try Rudy's for lunch. I had the tortilla soup, it arrived cold, looked old, and it tasted like old salsa and chips, stomach acid and a can of Campbells Tomato soup. It was inedible. My husband had the taco special - which looked normal (aside from the lack of cheese... I thought cheese was standard on tacos, but Rudys charges 75 cents for a cup of cheese). I was starving since I didnt eat my soup, and tried some of the tacos --- after one bite I knew something was off. My husband ate the 2 tacos.... and in an hour we were both ill for the entire night.\r \r \r Do yourself a favor and STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! more

Good food, good service. 9/22/2007

Rudy's is one of our favorite places to go after a downtown show. They serve great nachos - try both the chicken and the beef - and prices are reasonable. Our children love the micro-brewed root beer, too. Service has been very good each time we've been there. more
