No better place for you or your hair 10/27/2009

I have been visiting Nikki for my haircut and coloring needs for a couple of years. She is always so friendly and professional - I always love my hair after she works with it. But aside from the amazing skill she has as a stylist, she is also an incredible human being. After she found out that my son had become extremely ill, she gave me a complimentary highlight, and she has taken the time to stop by my house (around the corner from Rudolph's) to say hi to my little one. There are many wonderful people in the world, yet I believe Nikki rises to the top. Pros: Nikki is a godsend more

Avoid At All Costs 9/14/2008

Continuing in the great Rudy's tradition of listening to what you want done... and then ignoring it. Only now it costs more. Took six weeks for my hair to bounce back after my visit. Good magazine selection, though. more

Chane Fults!! 8/19/2008

\r \r Chane Fults at (Rudolph's) is the best cut in Southern California! Iv even compared his different techniques to other competitors in the area and really no comparison at all. He's smart, personable, and has a natural talent for cutting, coloring, and styling hair. Chane is truly a genius in the world of hair, through my eyes. more

Best haircut I've ever gotten! 8/11/2008

\r OK, so a friend of mine told me to go to this place to get my hair styled cause he knew how totally picky I am. So I decided to give it a go. I get there (very easy to find) and I really loved the place. It had a very relaxed & hip vibe to it that I loved right off the bat. My friend recommended a stylist by the name of Chane, and let me just tell you, he knew exactly what I wanted. My hair is quite straight and he have it volume which I love. I don't even have to put product in it to make it look good if I don't want to. It just looks good on it's own. I'm very satisfied with the results (and again I'm pretty picky) and I'll most definitely be going back to Chane to get it done again. I'm obessed! ;)\r \r \r \r more

Chane at Rudolphs 8/8/2008

Chane has been cutting my hair for about 8 years now and I've followed him from Orange County to LA because I decided when you find an amazing stylist you stick with them! As many times as my style has changed, he's the only one I trust to touch my hair and after all these years my homeboy has never let me down. Rudolphs not only has a laidback atmosphere but also great stylists that can accomodate what you're looking for. Next time you need your hair cut get it together and cruise over to Rudolphs because they don't play and you won't be dissapointed. And don't forget to ask for Chane! more

Best haircut i have EVER had 4/21/2008

I heard about Rudolphs from a friend and decided to give it a try. I have had many a bad haircuts, Nikki greeted me when i walked in and right away i was comfortable she had the style i was looking for, then she proceeded to give me a killer haircut, it was better then what i wanted she put a personal twist so it was ""my"" cut. $60 dollars later and i was a new girl and felt like a million. more

Michelle my Belle! 2/27/2008

Everyone is always wonderful here! Great friendly receptionists and no-attitude stylists. Like a lot of others, I followed my stylist Michelle here form Rudy's Silverlake. She is a color goddess and listens to every little annoying fear and request that you relay. This is a wonderful shop, great products, and super location! Go shopping on Melrose after your gorgeous new hair!:) Pros: good listeners, good music, very skilled stylists, (ooh and there's a cute dog named Zoe that's always there:) Cons: metered parking...but where is this not a problem... more

Liz is the Bomb 2/6/2008

i have been going to Liz for years over at Rudy's at the Standard. its luck of the draw there and i have to say i am one of the lucky customers. Liz is over at Rudolphs now which is slightly more expensive but worth every penny. i still feel like i'm robbing her when i leave. She's better than any $400 haircut out there. I travel quite a bit and have waited up to 9 months until i got back into town for a haircut from Liz! I highly recommend her and whatever establishment she's at. Pros: like i said its all about the hairdresser and Liz is where its at Cons: i live in the Valley, a bit of a drive more

Great color, so-so haircut - and they charged to trim my bangs! 1/27/2008

I got a partial highlight and cut by two different stylists (due to my last minute appointment). The color was fantastic, but the cut was just okay and within a couple weeks it was flat on top. I thought maybe a quick trim of my bangs would liven it up until my next cut, so I called for an appointment. Not only did they CHARGE TEN BUCKS to trim bangs (really a huge turn-off, especially since I'd only had my hair cut two weeks ago), but he just sort of grabbed the front and snipped straight across. Now my bangs look like my mom cut them and I'm back to looking for a new salon, even though now it's only been 4 weeks since my cut & color. Perhaps I just had a bad experience with one stylist (Joe) - the salon was comfortable and the receptionist was really great & friendly both times I was there. It's not the staff's fault that the salon's bad policy is to charge to trim bangs in between haircuts. Pros: Friendly staff, nice salon, decent prices Cons: Charge $10 to trim bangs more

Dopest cut ever!!!! 1/14/2008

I have been looking for a good haircut in LA for years that didn't cost me over $100 and my masculinity. Finally, a low key, chill place I can get an amazing cut for $40. I have been from the supercuts circuit to ridiculous salons in beverly hills that want to dress me up in a stupid robe and left to wait for one person to wash my hair, another to cut it and yet another to dry it and put some product in it while listening to crappy kenny g music. They fussed and spent more time on my short mens cut in one visit than I do in a year. All I wanted was to get in, get cut and get out. Chane gave me exactly what I wanted, FINALLY. I was able to make an appointment and listen to good music for a change and left with the perfect haircut. I will never ever go to anyone else. If you know whats good for you check out rudolph's and chane is the man with the plan. bomb dot com. Pros: appointments, cool atmosphere, great service great cut Cons: metered parking, but never been an issue more

Best Casual Hair Salon but with high-end hair cuts 3/29/2007

I have been going to the same hairstylist in NYC for over 7 years, so I was a little afraid to try someone/someplace new. Since moving from NYC to LA, I tried a couple of places before and had horrible experiences, which is why I decided that I everytime I would go home to NY, I would just get my hair cut there. Unfortunately, I have a new job that I have to start on Monday and my hair looks like a scary mop, so I braved trying Rudolph's on Melrose, and I am soooo glad that I did. Jesse, who is one of the owners, did a fantastic job! Not many people know how to cut my hair, since it is naturally wavy and heavy.\r \r I highly recommend this place for it's easy going & non-pretentious feel, as well as it's good prices. It's not ridiculously priced, like most places in L.A. and you still get a great cut! Pros: walk-in, appointments, friendly staff, consultation, easy going atmosphere, prices more

Best haircut ever! 1/18/2007

I had a haircut almost a month ago at Rudolph's and it still looks awesome. My hair is layered and normally after 1-2 weeks the layers fall out and it looks sort of drab. Not this time. I recommend my stylist (Steve) and this place to everyone. I finally found a stylist who does what I want with my hair. I would trust him to do anything and know it would turn out great. Thanks! You guys rock! more

Fantastic service -- great haircut! 11/13/2006

I was looking to switch salons after moving to the Fairfax District, but didn't want to skimp on either quality or service. Rudolph's was definitely the right choice! It was easy to make an appointment and Kaz (my stylist) was friendly, easy-going and sweet. She gave me the best haircut I've had in a while in a relaxed and comfortable setting. The price was right, too -- not overly expensive like some Beverly Hills/Hollywood places. I've recommended it to friends and they've all been very pleased as well. Street parking was easy to find, but there is a 2 hr limit in the neighborhood (which may be a problem if you're having some serious work done). Pros: Ambience, service -- my stylist rocked! Cons: Parking more
