Ruchi Cuisine Of India

My friend and I went in because we were not able to find our original restaurant of destination. We are both VERY well educated in Indian food and understand the culture and language from years of study. The food looked okay, but the restaurant appeared poorly kept and a hole in the shanty, but those places can still have GREAT food, so we stayed. We both ordered buffet so we could sample how well we might like coming back for dinner, and it was AWFUL. The chicken was dry, they used plain white instant rice better suited for a Chinese restaurant, they never resupplied the naan, and the chutney had the character of something I might have pulled out of the lawn mower. It was so disappointing, we could not even finish out first plates. Some of it tasted downright bad, and we LOVE Indian (don't mistake this for a Hoosier more comfortable with steak and fried potatoes!) I told the waitress the food was very disappointing and we'd be leaving, and she stood and smiled awkwardly. I asked for the check, and I eventually just waited at the register for the gentleman to take my money. AVOID! We went to ruchi for saturday lunch buffett expecting what we had experienced on our previous visits. Unfortunately what we got was what I believe the worst indian fare we ever ate. This is saying a lot as I am indian and had indian food my whole life. Ruchi went from one of the best indian buffetts in town to the worst in the last few months. The sambar was bland, the chicken curry was too "americanized", and the tandoori chicked tasted as if it was dipped in tandoori sauce and cooked in a microwave. I really enjoyed my lunch at Ruchi! I work out of my truck for a utility company, so I am always looking for a nice, comfortable place that I can relax for lunch. The food was exceptional and the servers were very friendly. :-) more

This is by far the best Indian food I had in recent time. I had to take a group of Indian, American and British friends there for a dinner. After one week when we walk in, the owner knows what exactly our taste buds are craving for (one of my friend thought blazing wings are the hottest). Good food, great reception, great customer service. Not seen in many Indian restaurants. Pros: All Pro Cons: No Cons more
