In a neighborhood that's retail focus is either ridiculous price tags for high falutin' Telegraph Hill Dwelleristas & Total Tourist wankery... Rubydolls is welcome respite. The racks are consistently lined with interesting clothes that a working girl can afford, whether you are working as a secretary downtown, a cocktail waitress or even a student possibly moonlighting as a stripper around the corner. What You Will Find: Cute Party Dresses, Reasonable Priced Jeans + Tops, Some Sexy Lingerie...and even the occasional retro random vintage item or a doggy sweater... What you won't find: Boutique Attitude or Ass-tronomical Pricing suitable only for trust fund matrons & debutantes more

This place has some fun stuff. I didn't fall in love with any of the clothes, but the jewelry and purses were great. They have a nice selection overall and you can usually find something that's not too overly priced for to wear out for the weekend. Staff isn't too friendly, but possibly just caught them on a bad day...? Pros: cute stuff more

very affordable prices! $18 for a very chic herringbone newsboy cap. thin, layer-y tops galore. i really liked the clothes, and i was able to find cute, unique accessories for bargain basement prices. \r \r most of the sizes are for people up thru a size 10. a few dressing rooms. very well lit.\r \r then, there is an entire section for stripper clothing! that was bizarre. complete with sparkly thongs, platform see thru shoes, and other stuff. i guess the shop caters to the neighbors? Pros: great bargains, hip accessories, spacious dressing rooms Cons: stripper gear (if you are too posh to be seen in a store that carries this sort of stuff) more
