Do not buy a Kirby from this company 1/25/2011

This was by far the worst sales experience that I have had to endure. I was first approached by a woman at my door stating that she a a ""free"" in home demonstration of a cleaning solution. If she had mentioned it was for a Kirby Vaccum I would have sent her on her way. Nevertheless two gentlemen showed up later with Kirby in tote. The one gentlemen left leaving the other behind to demonstrate. I mentioned several time to the demonstrator that I was not in the market for a vaccum and had the woman said it was a Kirby demo I would have declined. He moved foward with the demo. Towards the end of the demo he called the other gentlemen in so that he could ""close the deal"". He went on for at least an hour about how the kirby this and that. I have pets with lots of hair and I expressed my distate with the fact that it did not have a canister.. he reasurred me that two bags would last me a year. I have had the unit for 28 days and after 4 uses have already used up a bag. Misrepresentation of product. I called to complain and was met with rudeness and no cooperation to satisfy my complaints. I was told that the owner would call me back the next day by noon. I called at noon since I had not recieve d a phone call and the front desk person told me she was aware of my issue and had errands to run and would call me back upon her return. Apparently my issue was not important. I then called back becomming angered at the obvious blow off. I then spoke toa a manager that would not let me get a word in and she proceeded to tell me that the manager had inportant things to do ""being the owner"" and would call me back at HER convenience. The owner called me back and started the conversation after I said I didn't appreciate being put on hold that she was the owner and basically I should feel honored that she called me back because most company owner's do not call back unsatisfied customers. Overall the experience that I have had has been very disastifactoy from sales to purchase. Oh by the way the unit is not working now after 28 days becuase the dog hair that I expressed about during the sale has wrapped around the unit that turns the motor and has wrapped itself around the beginning of the tube that goes to the cannister hose and is not able to be used. So after 28 days I have a vaccum that does not work and the owner is more than willing to fix it but in the end I do not want the product and the owner does not care. She wants her money no matter what. I am very disappointed in the way our market has turned in that the consumer no longer has a voice and opinion. I feel sorry for the next person that tries to sell me somthing because I will no longer be the weak and not able to say no I WILL SAY NO LOUD AND PROUD! more
