Great People 12/2/2011

Came here last weekend and I just picked up my dogs and they were very clean, happy and feed. That gives them an A+! They took real good care of my pets and for that I will recommend them to family and friends. more

Mrs. Ellen is the best 11/15/2011

Mrs. Ellen is such a sweetheart and she has always been great to Biscuit & I. When I bring Biscuit he doesn't get sad or scared because he loves Mrs. Ellen she treats him like a baby and spoils him. Their prices are fair and I don't mind paying a lot because I know my dog is going to get taken care of and I only trust them when I'm on business trips. more

Friendly and safe environment 5/5/2011

Royalton Kennels has been a great place to board our dogs. The staff takes wonderful care of the pets and we love the nature walks and play areas that allow for more outdoor time. You will definitely make it your first choice for boarding your dogs or cats. more

Very Roomy Kennels and lots of fun for pups but a bit expensive once you add in the extras. My puppy likes it though and the staff babies him more

  • After being active in the medical field in New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA, Hal and Ellen Kapen retired to Louisville, KY to open Royalton Kennels in 1988. Our family and locally owned five-acre dog paradise in Fern Creek has been in business for over 30 years. The Kapens have had family pets since 1970, acquiring their first show dog in 1982. Since 1983, their family has shown Rhodesian Ridgebacks in AKC conformation and obedience events. In 1990, one of their dogs was the #1 Ridgeback in United States conformation events!
