I called up Roto-rooter because water backed up into my tub and at the base of the toilet that cause flooding in the bathroom and into the adjacent bedroom. I was lucky to have a technician come to my house in less than an hour. He was able to locate where the problem was and fixed it. The other bathroom tub had problems of slow water draining, so he patiently took out the waste overflow and fished out a bottle cap that got stuck causing water to drain slow. We were so thankful and happy that finally we have peace of mind over the drain issues in the house. He also recommended additional diagnosis of the main drain system with the use of camera shots to locate issues or problems that may possibly arise. It was worth the call to Roto-Rooter, otherwise we are still being flooded without knowing where the problem was. more

I called the Honolulu RotoRooter because my toilet was leaking from the base...caused by a clog in the drain pipe. Noa Rivierra (3307 on receipt) showed up to do the work. He was friendly and ready to take care of the problem. Because the drain cleanout is covered by concrete, the toilet needed to be removed to snake the pipe. He completed the job in no time and did a good job cleaning the bathroom area when completed. I was very happy with his performance. He is very easy to work with and will definitely call him if I have any future plumbing problems. Excellent job Noa, mucho mahalos! more

I appreciated the two calls notifying us that Joseph would be arriving later than the original 2-hour block selected. Since we were also promised, and received, a call 30 minutes before he arrived, that attention to detail in customer service did not prevent us from attending to other chores so that the delay did not inconvennce us in the least. And when he arrived Joseph was pleasant, professional and all business. He explained things well, including the costs involved in any and all options, and did the work promptly and effectively. How often can that be said when a job initially disappoiints by starting ""late""? Stuff sometimes inevitably happens - and that can spoil your day and leave you sour. But the way this was handled, and completed, left me feeling not only satisfied but confident. more

We called roto-rooter to fix our clogged toilrt and they came ou the same day. After using a snake and finding some root debris the plumber thought we should have a video of our pipes to see if there was any damage. The technician from Honolulu came out the next day. After taking the video and taking apart the toilet the problem was not found. Finally, determined to fix the toilet, he used the snake until the toilet was working properly. Even though we were not charged for the first visit and got a discount for the second it seems like the problem could have been solved the first time for a few hundred less dollars. At least our toilet works! more

Instead of routing some more, they felt it was necessary to put a camera in the pipes the next day. We were not charged for the first visit as the problem was not solved. A new technician was sent out and after the video and taking the toilet apart still could not find the problem. He was here for three hours determined to fix things. He finally used the snake again and cleared up the problem. We were glad to have the toilet fixed but it seems we could have avoided the extra work and expense if the router had been used longer the first time. Overall we were pleased with the work and the determination of the second technician. The bill was painful even though he gave us a discount. more

My toilet was leaking. I tried to fix it myself but the shut off valve would not stop the water completely. I was not sure if Roto-Rooter did repairs of toilets or only the discharge lines. I called to make an appointment. Eddie Cordes was the plumber who came to do the repair. He was very cordial and did a very effficient job. He changed the shut off valve to the toilet. He then removed the toilet tank and bowl. He replaced the wax under the bowl and the gasket between the tank and the bowl. He also changed the fixtures inside the tank. After the job was completed, he checked several times to be sure there was no leak below the bowl and between the tank and the bowl. He cleaned up the area very nicely. I would recommend using his services again. more

I recently experienced a clog in my main drain pipe so that water would not go down the drain or the toilet. So I called Roto-Rooter in Honolulu. Matt and Donovan, the Roto-Rooter plumber & technician who were sent to my home in Hawaii Kai were both efficient and effective in fixing my problem, which was caused by tree roots which had invaded the Y-Joint underground. They had to dig a trench four feet deep and eight feet long to reach the drain pipe, and replace the old with the new pipes. What impressed and please me about their work was that they explained each step to me, as they progressed, and showed me what was wrong when they reached the underground problem. They also asked me for permission, before trimming back some overhanging branches that were hindering their backhoe. And they were very careful about not damaging the existing landscaping. This was professionalism at its finest. And although this was a big job, they finished it within a day. So I can now shower and f more

Had a plumbing emergency, all toilets in my Honolulu condo would not flush due to a backup in the pipes. Called roto-rooter plumbers and they came out within 45 minutes of my call. The plumber was extremely nice and knowledgeable, he explained all my options with the cost before hand. Ended up having to take a toilet out to unclog the pipe, service was extremely fast. Will use roto-rooter in the future. more

We needed to find our sewer line in the back yard but since our pipe bent in 2-3 places we couldn't get the snake through the bends. We called different plumbers and they did not have a solution for us. When we called Roto-Rooters and talked to Matthew, he was quite confident that he could find it. Matthew and his co-worker, Louis, showed up and quickly found a way to locate our line. They worked quickly and were both extremely courteous and professional. What I really liked was that they made sure their equipment didn't dirty anything up in our house and they cleaned up everything when they left. The pipe was found and they also made suggestions for our plumbing according to their observations. They were very helpful & knowledgeable and I would definitely refer them to others and request their services again. more
