Editorial review from Citysearch 9/13/2013

Well isn't it odd that all the reviews for this Dr. are all in Feb. FAKE!!! Don't use him. Awful!!!!! more

Wow, what customer service! 8/1/2011

While we did not have our eye exams there (we will in the future!), we found Kennedy Eye while shopping around for good prices and frame selection. Wow, what a great place! Katie is fabulous, friendly, funny, and best of all very knowledgeable. Would you believe they even let us ""check out"" the frames we were considering to see what our friends thought?? Who does that?? Kennedy does! Great prices, great selection and great customer service. By all means check them out before you go anywhee else! more

We couldn't be happier 10/27/2010

After years of looking for a good eye Dr. for my husband and daughter, who both have a severe astigmatism, we have found one in Dr. Kennedy. He provided both my husband and daughter with a thorough exam and a new prescription that has them seeing better than ever. We couldn't be happier. more

Excellent eye exam! 8/25/2010

This was an excellent eye exam and a pleasant experience. Dr. Kennedy's extensive knowledge of eyecare was impressive. Because it had been many years since my last eye exam, I wasn't sure what to expect. Dr. Kennedy was able to thoroughly analyze my eyesight and make a detailed assessment in a surprisingly short amount of time. I am relieved to learn that my eyes show no evidence of glaucoma or anything else that might cause me to be concerned. In addition to Dr. Kennedy, I also met his business associate, Dr. Max Kostecki, who is also very personable and knowledgeable, and several of their opticians and technical support staff. They seem to make an outstanding team. I have a great deal of confidence in this eyecare practice and I will return to them for my next eye exam. more

Rude receptionists 2/21/2010

I've been to this office twice (unfortunately) and will not be returning. During both visits, the older front desk employee (mentioned in previous posts) was very rude and condescending. She also struggled to verify my insurance information and went through the exact same process both times, clearly not obtaining the correct information during my first visit. I had to call my husband at work to get his Social Security # during both visits. I also could not refill my contact lens prescription without getting a ""contact lens fitting,"" even though I've been perfectly happy with the contact lenses that I've used for the past several years, and there were no major issues that showed up during my exam. The contact lens fitting is extra, of course. Please save your time and money, and do not go here! The negative reviews are definitely in line with what I have experienced at this clinic. Pros: You get an eye exam Cons: Rude employees, disorganized front desk more

Great eye exams for last 42 years 2/10/2010

Dr Max Kostecki has been my most recent eye doctor at Kennedy Eye Assoc for a number of years already. This Eye Assoc. has serviced my eye needs nearly my entire adult life. Everything from an eye abrasion, allergic reactions to severe dry eye needing punctal plugs and great sets of contacts have kept my vision safe, secure and well intact. Dr. Max gives you an excellent exam and explains it all in plain language. He goes that extra mile to ease your concerns, or to direct you to the best eye solution for your condition. I highly recommend him and his staff. Pros: Excellant service and very knowledgable Cons: No drawbacks more

Great Eye Doctor! 2/10/2010

Dr. Max Kostecki is very thorough. He is also very friendly. He is willing to spend extra time if needed to explain complicated eye problems. The office has excellent equipment. I also elected to have the Optomap, and Dr. Max thoroughly explained the results to me. I was also impressed with the quality of the eyeglasses I received. The staff is very willing to work with you on finding frames, and the lenses are perfect! I would highly recommend Dr. Max Kostecki to anyone. Pros: Very thorough eye doctor. more

Most technologically advanced eyecare in Roseville! 2/10/2010

Dr. Robert Kennedy, and Dr. Max Kostecki, are eye doctors at Kennedy Eye Associates. They are both highly experienced, and use the most state-of-the-art technology. They work with people of all ages, and want to take the time to explain any eye condition that you might have in full detail. The entire staff wants to make your experience the best it can be. I personally recommend the Optomap. It is a highly advanced digital camera that can take a picture of the back of your eye (called the retina). The doctors will then go over the results with you immediately during your appointment. Both Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Kostecki specialize in advanced contact lens fittings, and treatment of eye disease. They also have the GDx and OCT for glaucoma patients. Pros: Great doctors, Advanced Technology. more

See Dr. Max Kostecki 2/5/2010

When I moved here, I got a referral from my eye doctor in Fargo who was a wonderful doctor. Initially, I saw Dr. Kennedy, and although I think he's intelligent and experienced, he's quick and brusque. I switched to Dr. Kostecki, and he's a kind and careful doctor who will take the time to explain your prescription and eye issues. I took my young son in for his first exam, and Dr. Kostecki was great with him. \r \r That being said, the front desk staff here is definitely rude, and one woman even cursed in front of my four year old. I agree with the other posts that they need to do something to make your first impression of the staff a more positive one. Pros: He's good with kids Cons: Unfriendly front desk staff. more

DO NOT GO HERE! I would rate it 0 if I could 1/26/2010

First of all I had to change from associated eye care to this place bc of insurance for my 3 year old son. They said they work with children. Meanwhile the exam was done like an adult on a 3 year old. Then the dr was just pushing surgery for my 3 year old and the specialist who he recommend was our old (and now current) dr who did not want to do surgery, that was a last resort. Then go to get the prescription and my son would not wear the glasses said he could not see, which is strange bc my son has worn glasses for a year and will not take them off. I go back to the original eye dr we used to go to and said the prescription was not right. They gave him glasses for a near sighted person and my son is farsighted. They told me to take the glasses back. I did and the lady was very rude saying the prescription is right and that she didn't know why the dr told me they were wrong. I said they are wrong that my son can't see out of them and that he is far sighted not near sighted. Well she argued with me for 10 minutes before checking. Then she came back (after 10 minutes of B.S.'ing with other employees) and said oh they are wrong, it's supposed to be a plus not a minus (exactly what I had told her). Never even said sorry. I said I didn't want her to remake them. And she said ok anything wrong with the frame? I said I didn't really care for them, but that is not the big issue. Then she wrote that down and said insurance wont give me my money back bc I want to go somewhere else for the frames! WHAT? I told her it wasn't the frames but that I didn't want to go back there bc I don't want to have to go back again if they screw it up again and I am frustrated! To make this worse, when I returned home from this latest visit at the eye doctor, I called my insurance company to see what needs to be done to get my insurance money back. They called the eye doctor and the eye doctor said I didn't want to go back to them because of the frames! So insurance said they don't pay for new frames bc I don't like the old ones. So not only are they rude, got the prescription wrong but they lied to the insurance company in order to keep their money! What the Heck!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous and to keep your sanity go to a different office. This place is a joke. Pros: Nothing Cons: rude staff, wrong Rx, horrible experience, lied to insurance more

way too expensive 9/9/2009

I thought the staff was rude and dr. was impatient. It always felt like they were trying to make money off of everything they did. Options were not explained and contacts were double the price of any on-line place but you sign saying you will buy them and they don't give you your prescription so you can order any where else. My questions were rarely answered appropriately. I love my new contacts, so I am happy with that, but I will not go there again, I cannot afford it! Pros: contact lens choices Cons: rude, expensive more

Terrible place for children 3/15/2009

I brought my 11yr old here for an exam with Dr. Kennedy. The older lady at the front desk was very rude to us. I think she should concider retiring is she dislikes the clients so much. Dr. Kennedy was very blunt and to the point in which scared my daughter. She felt he didn't like her at all. Pros: nice glasses Cons: Horrible front desk staff more

Great eye exam! 12/8/2008

After years of looking for a good eye Dr. for my husband and daughter, who both have a severe astigmatism, we have found one in Dr. Kennedy. He provided both my husband and daughter with a thorough exam and a new prescription that has them seeing better than ever. We couldn't be happier. I can not comment on the insurance billing, as we pay for our eye exams out of pocket, but I have heard from others that they have had billing problems with them in the past.\r more

DON'T GO here! 10/3/2008

This is the worst experience I've had at any medical office...their billing practices are unorganized. First of all, they billed me much more than I expected so I called my insurance to call them to straighten it out! They were rude to me and unapologetic for their mistake. On top of that, Dr. Kennedy didn't explain all the contact lens options and insisted I go with a different contact lens than what I was wearing even though I was perfectly happy with the ones I had (it made me think he must be getting a big spiff from that company). Do you & your family a favor & go to Dr. Moline in Roseville or anyone at Twin Lakes Eye Center. The office is newer, cleaner & his admins are great with billing questions! more

Good eye care- gone bad. 7/14/2008

I've been to this office many times, i decided to bring my husband and children there for their eye exams and prescriptions. After explaining to Dr Max and Kennedy about my husband's medical condition of severe Keratoconus, they reassured me that they have handled these special cases for over 30 years and that Kennedy was the best in the Twin Cities, my husband made his appt. \r \r The front desk persons were slightly rude, but everyone has ""off"" days, the Dr's we're always rushing us through ALL of our appt's, and the billing was not correct- which delayed my husband special contacts over 2 months out! After going back for a 2nd screening they were even more rude- probably because I called to ask more questions- as a consumer- there should not be repercussions for wanting to know more! \r This office had a good start, but I have no idea how they took this turn-for-the-worse! With a severe eye condition and not being able to see clearly- you'd think an little more care and understanding with their clients would be in order- nope.\r Until they get their ship shaped up, after these lens, we're looking else where for eye care. Pros: good location, good products Cons: staff and extremely bad communication WITHIN the office more
