We have moved here from Buffalo, NY and love both that city and our new one, Tucson. We are trying to find good pizza and good wings here. Rosati's though a nice place is not serving good pizza or authentic Buffalo wings.
The pizza we are looking for is a tender, medium crust, crusty on the bottom. Rosat's have a couple but we had their standard thin one which was skimpy on the sauce, cheese and pepperoni considering the price. The flavor was a bit too spicy and we are looking for someone who has a more tangy sauce and pepperoni like Margherita's. Also slice like a pie please. These little squares are like finger food at a cocktail party. Buffalo wings are deep fried and come mild, medium, hot and varying degrees of extra hot. Rosati's were rubbery and greasy and too hot for what we ordered. Google ""Original Anchor Bar Recipe"" and you will get the recipe. I could not get the website on this note.
(By the way they always come with blue cheese and celery and/or carrot sticks.)
The journey continues and though we have been told by other upstate New Yorkers you will not find NY pizza nor pork hotdogs in this city (Yes, Phoenix does have pork hot dogs and a thriving business, Ted's) we will keep hoping. We do love much of Tucson's food (yum!) so we will survive and Rosati's may have other good items. But won't someone try to make the wings they way they are supposed to be? Thanks!
Pros: Nice people, Good service
Cons: Pizza too thin and wings not authentic
