My husband and I have eaten at Roost a couple of times and we have been very pleased. The atmosphere at this small neighborhood place is simple, with a few tables outside. The waitstaff is friendly and unpretentious. The menu is not long but the offerings are sufficiently varied that there is enough to appeal to all tastes and moods. Tonight I had the pork chop with homemade baked butter beans, accompanied by fresh cole slaw and saut?ed green beans. Each part of this dish was delicious and well executed. My husband's pan friend chicken was crispy and not greasy and he couldn't stop raving about the fried bread pudding that came along side. Our 12 year old daughter particularly enjoyed the desserts. Her review of the sour cream mouse with fresh strawberries is that it was just sweet enough and the s'more pie was a perfect blend of ice cream topped with caramelized marshmellow were yummy! We will be back again for sure.
