Every year Roosevelt Mall has a Halloween Parade. While I notice every year the older kids are becoming pushier & taking all the candy from the younger kids, who inevitably will take there time cause they are younger, some in strollers, I still think this Parade is a fun concept. I just wish that there were more ways of advertising the date & getting more store involved. I have only seen it in the Citypaper & because of where I live, there isn't access to the FREE Citypaper nearby. I also think , because I am an adult I should NOT be denied candy. In this day of costumes & masks we really shouldn't judge. I think if ANYONE takes the time to dress up on this day and walk for candy, should get candy. There isn't going to be many adults who do this anyways. I have been dressing up for years & I intend to do this till I no longer can. I am not every adult. While I understand the stores do this voluntarily, I still think that it should be made mandatory. It's only 2 hours of 1 employee's time, for mainly the kids. I just see this changing & even ending at this rate. Sad :( It really is a fun thing to attend.
Pros: Great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: Not advertised well, not much involvment from stores anymore
