The owner is extremely rude & disrespectful. He expects you to buy something every time you walk into the store. If you don't end up buying anything he makes disrespectful remarks like ""oh if it's not in your budget, then go to a store that is!"" umm hello? Do you expect me to shell out a grand everytime I walk in here. Remember how much money I have aleady spent in here! That's ridiculous!!! No respect at all. As long as you shove money in his mouth he's happy! The staff is just trying to score a commission. Follow you around like ""pets!"" more

Horrible service. Rude owner!!! Have not been back to his store in years because of the way I was treated. They expect you to buy something every time. Ridiculous!!! He needs to be put out of business for his arrogance and unprofessional attitude. more

My wife ( Malaysian Indian who des not speak Hindi) went to the shop today with her Chinese friend. Her friend tried about 7 kurtis but she did not like any of them. When they were leaving the shop, the owner ( a man) shouted at my wife and her friend for not buying anything and for trying so many (7 kurtis). Then he spoke to the salesgirl who attended to my wife something in HIndi and she started yelling at my wife too. There was only another caucasian lady and her hispanic friend who was being conned by this man into buying a wothless cloth for $100 over dollars. This is truly a horrible place, please pass the word around. more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The Owner is terrible and the atmosphere is uninviting and rude. Overpriced saris and nothing special. They would not even show us what we wanted to see and said ""are you going to buy, then we will only show you."" Wanted us to buy anything they showed us or would not show more. Ridiculous place. I always stop by this Hillcroft staple because of their wide variety and huge inventory, but the attitude of the owner never changes. His staff is very friendly and helpful, but they still go to him to set the price of the sari. This is only done after he sees you and realizes that you do not speak the language fluently. He actually tried to force my hand to buy a way-over priced sari (my mom bought one similar to it from the sari capital of India for much, much less even with the currency conversion). He had one of the staff run after another customer who showed a passing interest in the sari. That is when I turned tomy mom and said ""That is definitiely not going to make me buy here now."" This is the only store I shop at for all my indian clothes. The prices are great and the clothes are great. They have the largest inventory in Houston. The employees are very friendly and the owners treat you like family. I love this place! Pros: Large Inventory, great customer service more

I love this store. I have been to many sari shops in the area and they are by far the best. Excellent selection, Reasonable prices on they're clothes, and a nice jewelly selection to chose from. And a wonderful staff to help you thru your shopping experience from begining to end. I highly recommend it. Pros: Beautiful sari's and lenghas to choose from and jewellry to match and all in a beautiful building. Cons: The outfits can be pricey, but they are pricey any where you because most of it is hand done. I like quality so the price doesn't bother me. more

this store does have a big inventory, but nothing great. They are comparable to the surrounding stores as far as clothes and prices are concerned. The biggest con is that the service was absolutely horrible! It took 20 min. before someone could attend to me and it wasn't even busy. Once the salesperson got to me, she was extremely rude!
