I am shocked at all the negative reviews for Rooms to Go . We purchased 2 bedroom sets and a dining room set from Rooms to Go 3 years ago. We have had no issues with any of the it...


My husband and I purchased a Cindy Crawford bedroom suite and a pub style dining table from Rooms To Go about 6 months ago. We have already had to have 2 of the bar stools repaire...

Horrible Couch! 5/2/2012

We purchased a couch from R2G. The cushion covers started to rip. The technician came out to look at them. I mentioned a squeak in the couch. He said it was nothing and took the cushion covers to restitch. He returned them a few days later. They weren't even sewn up all the way and they smelled like they had been in a smoking lounge. I guess the technician smoked in the van with them and while sewing them.\r \r A few days later I sat on the couch and was stabbed in the calf with a nail sticking out of the couch. I actually had a really bad cut. I probably could have used a stitch to be honest. The squeak (that I asked the technician about and was ignored) was a board and it had moved and so there were about 5 or 6 nails sticking out from the frame. We had to hammer them down so as not to get cut or risk our kids being injured. When the technician came out he said there was nothing he could do since the nails had ripped through the material. Please do not buy anything from Rooms To Go! Their furniture is not of good quality! I learned the hard way went I bought a room set and it was not cheap! I had many problems with my bed that I call customer service for help and they were so rude and did not want to help me! I believed that this company does not care about their customer just their money! please do your self a favor and do not go through what I and all the people here went through! I just hope my experience helps others make better decision! more

Watch out 4/26/2011

I purchased their king size tv package called the Ansiton. I paid 2500 including delivery and taxes.. i got the set delivered two days later as promised, to find a plethera of shotty craftsmanship... the bed has a upholstered headboard with silver nailheads.. that add to the design... upon inspection.. about a dozen of these are rusted... then in my media chest there are staples comming through to the inside of the drawer from a staple that was put on the bottom of the drawer... then one of the fabric lined drawers for the dresser has air bubbles under the fabric and its overlapped and glued in place and comming out over the front of the drawer and bits of wood are glued to the fabric... then the slats that go under the mattress and the foundation were cross threaded just to find out that the actual bolts in the legs are smaller than the nuts there suppose to go into so the only way to hold it in place is to cross thread it...\r \r so after having this furiniture for 5 days and not even more

After reading all of the reviews I wished that I would have done so before making my purchase of my sectional in May 2010. I purchased the furniture and the quality is terrible as many consumers have identified. I am a return customer and have made three purchases from Room to Go. Initially I did not feel displeased as many of you do until I started having problems with the stitching in the cushion. I called RTG and explained my situation and the technician came out as stated in a timely manner. The cushion was replaced after two attempts. The driver brought the wrong cushion the first time, then the second time they replaced the cusion as promised. Time was wasted, but the cushion was replaced. I thought that was the end of my ordeal, but another cushion started splitting at the seam and the process started again.This time I was told that the furniture was discontinued and that I had 30 days to choose another piece of furniture and they wil deliver and exchange out at no cost more

I wish there was a lower rating than unsatisfactory for rooms to go. They certainly deserve it. My wife and I purchased certain furniture items from rooms to go on Monday. The salesperson acted like he was doing us a favor. He did not introduce himself or even smile. We were told that we would be given a courtesy call giving us a four hour time frame prior to delivery. The next day the rtg driver arrived at my door unannounced,(didn't get that promised courtesy call). The first words out of the rtg driver when I opened the door" We were about to leave without delivering your furniture" He repeated the same thing three times. This was after he had rung the doorbell twice. While setting up he informed me that that there was crack in the dresser mirror and that a replacement would be delivered another day. Thanks a lot rtg,now I get to waste a whole day through no fault of mine. Never again will I buy from rtg. more

Terrible quality 3/27/2011

After years of saving money to buy furniture, we chose Rooms to Go. We spent almost $3000 on a set of furniture, they are all made in China. The salesman pushed us to buy leather protection with the help of his manager. The Sofa has a manufacture fault and has a very low quality. If you don't sit on the middle of the seat you will be tilted one side or another, causing backache. It has a very small base and cushions are extremely uncomfortable. Basically, the sofa is unusable and they do not want to have it returned or give credit for another type of sofa. We are extremely unhappy about this company and I advise everybody to think twice about dealing with them. They don't even have a headquarter address to write to them about your complaints. more

Never again will I shop at Rooms to go....So pricey but quality of furniture is so cheap...we spent 4,500 for our living room set and after a month our sofa and love seat broke (fell in) so mad, unable to return anything...Also, our coffee table is damaged, requested a new one which they delivered and still in bad I am getting a 4th one and praying go God that it will be in good condition....Please if you want to buy and spend your money go somewhere else, they are a joke. more

Bought a sectional--loved it but fell apart after 2 weeks stiching came apart, They finally replaced the one section.Two weeks stitching comes out in another section. They send out rep. he states furniture is discontinued because of all the problems. Then the bull s**it begins. Wanted my money back..No way told to pick out something in their store. Well after a month finally found something..Now they lied about delievery date. Customer service is a joke.I hope these people go out of bussiness "SOON". I hate RIPE of to go... more

do not waste your money 2/22/2011

Never again. We have spent several thousand dollars on furniture from Rooms to go. We also bought the 3- year extended warranty. A year later, we called them regarding some spots. They said that the manufacturing warranty expired. They cleaned the items, but they used chemicals that made the situation worse. When we called to complain, they said that they canceled the warranty because there was a pen mark on the Sofa! \r \r I called the store to speak to the manager, they refused to let me speak to him. Then they said he is out of the store. When I asked to speak for manger on duty, they said they do not have one and I have to leave a message. \r \r The employees who sold us the warranty lied to us about its coverage. more

Great experience 2/20/2011

I ordered a bedroom set and counter-height dining room set. The salesperson was not pushy. I asked questions regarding all the awful reviews I read about RTG and he answered them in a forthright manner. The merchandise was delivered two days later. One of the bed rails had a bit of damage on it but I cleaned it up and it is fine. There were very minor scratches and nicks on a couple pieces, but nothing noticeable without close inspection. I will use RTG again. more

bought a 3 piece leather set-10 days to get -thet delivered fine-set on couch and it pop and sounded like a shotgun when you sat or got up..after complaing and abosolutly horrible response-we'll replace the couch-has taken 25 days -but 10 minutes to take my cash\r i have been hung up,on seneral times by the idiots at customer and corporate refused to help\r \r NEVER BUY AGAIN AND HOPE NO ONE ELSE WILL more

Good but tried to Inflate Sales Tax 2/5/2011

We bought a leather outfit from them and were generally happty woth the experience. My wife who is short has a very hard time putting down the foot rest on recliners. They turned the showroom model over and showed how we can adust the tension and adjusted it until she was good to go. They even honored a price from a sale three months ago. My only real complaint is the way they tried to inflate the sales tax. In North Carolina services are not taxed. They included in the delivery charge in the taxed amount. As a retail business owner I pointed this out error out tot eh store manager and he acted like he was totally surprised and said he was not aware of that. The scary part is they must do the same to every unknowing customer because there was no way to take the tax off the delivery charge in thier computer. They ended up discounting the furniture to make up the difference. This is not only dishonest but illegal in the state of North Carolina. more

RTG....where do I begin? Just like everyone else that has complained about them.... Customer service is HORRIBLE! I was insulted by my sales person, my delivery date and time wasn't confirmed and my furniture was delivered by Pick-Up truck ( an employee's personal vehicle) in Torrential Rain. all of my furniture was in soaking wet boxes! Got a great deal on the furniture. We got the black 8 pc Tanner bedroom with the 32" tv for $1899and a queen Embrace memory foam mattress for $977. The fruniture is absolutely beautiful and the mattress is heaven. It was delivered on time 1 week after purchase and the delivery guys were friendly and efficient. Picked up my tv 5 days later without a hitch. Extremely happy with the tv because Rooms to Go gave me a $315 gift card and the Toshiba was marked $349. Thought I was gonna have to come off of more money. But when they scanned the Roms to Go contract the tv dropped to $299. My only complaint is that the salesman told me specifically not to move any of my furniture that the delivery guys would move it all out. He also said they would take my used mattress. Delivery guys would not do either. They were very courteous about it, but they said they are instructed to do neither. They said this is a common lie told by the salesman. I do recommend Rooms to Go. Its sad to see these bad reviews when the customers themselves only have them to blame for not reading the information given at the store and yes the sales people work off of commission so do most places, so its our responsiblity as adults and customers to do our own research they teach you this in school do not sign anything before reading I love my furniture and will continue to do business with Rooms To Go more

RTG = Terrible 1/21/2011

RTG customers service and products are terrible. Purchased living room set. With in 8 months the finished cracked on the corners of the end table and coffee table. Schedule service call. Service was supposed to come from 11-3. I took the day off to meet tech. He didn't show until almost 7pm. He stated that the finish should definitely not be cracked like that and he would report the faulty finish. SIX days later RTC calls and said the damage was due to use. NO WAY is it due to use. Total run around and will not fix or replace tables. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING from Room To Go. You will regret it. more

Pay up front a must, even with excellent credit 1/17/2011

Overall, very bad experience. Store won't set up a delivery date until the customer pays upfront, delivery and state sales tax for the purchased items. Normally, the entire purchase is put on credit. My recommendation is avoid shopping at Rooms to Go in San Antonio, TX. more

Dissatisfied with Services 1/9/2011

Very displeased with the services at the Rooms To Go on Cobb Parkway in Marietta, Ga. I entered the store on Friday afternoon, 01/07/2011 and walked the entire store without anyone ever asking to assist me. One guy walked out in a red/burgundy shirt with an apparent Rooms To Go name tag, however, he didn't even acknowledge me. There were several items that I was interested in, however, I will never shop at this Rooms To Go again. more


I purchased the Diva Gaming Chair for my daughter for Christmas. The return policy is 48 hours; however, this was a CHRISTMAS gift and my daughter did not open the gift until CHRISTMAS. Upon opening and sitting in it, the chair is WAY too big for her, it is very uncomfortable, and awkward for her to sit in. I emailed AND called Rooms To Go and BEGGED them to work with me on a return (which, by the way was done within 48 hours of opening the gift). I said that I would pay the shipping, pay the return shipping, would gladly pay a restocking fee, AND take a store credit if they would just please be willing to work with me any way. We cannot use this chair at all and it's a waste of $100. I spoke with a supervisor and manager who both absolutely would not work with me at all. I realize the return policy is 48 hours, but come on! If it's a Christmas gift and not opened until Christmas, then HOW are you supposed to return it within 48 hours?????
