Best In Yuma 7/19/2010

My fiancee and I just recently discovered Ronnie's about a month and 1/2 ago. So far we've tried their 3-cheese pizza (provolone, parmesan, mozzarella), a custom pizza (onion, ham, sausage), Philly cheese steak, pizza steak. Prices are comparable with franchises like Pizza Hut. The sauce is sweet/tangy, the dough can be a little chewy but is good, and the quality of the toppings is good from what we've had so far. (They have an online menu at ronniespizzayuma. com) My only real complaint with Ronnie's is against the pizza boxes. They don't use round cardboard stabilizers like most pizza shops do, so the box can easily bend (the last time we got pizza I almost dropped it because of this), so just keep an extra hand on it! I won't say this is the best pizza I ever had (I grew up near Chicago, and you can't really compete with that), but it is the best pizza I've had in Yuma. Pros: Good sauce, good quality Cons: 20-30 min. wait, boxes are flimsy more

As close to Philly as Yuma has 12/13/2008

Having been born and raised in Philly, I can attest to the fact that Ronnies is as close to Philly style fare as you're likely to find in the West tho still a large step below the very best of the genre. Do not go here thinking you will get the kind of cheesesteak you may have seen on tv like Pats steaks in S. Philly slathered with that heart attack stuff called cheese wiz. That's not a true philly cheesesteak, but it sure does sell well in that part of Philly. You get real cheese on a long roll and decent steak. The roll, tho not as good as the real thing, is as good as can be produced off the East coast (the owners have acknowledged this fact), and several theories are out there as to the reason for this anamoly. The pizza is the only one I eat in Yuma, but still not quite up to par with Philly area pizza. It seems as if you need to keep eating it even tho you know you are full. The interior keeps pace with the real steak shops all around Philly and the suburbs, except of course for more

Pizza 7/27/2008

Some of the best pizza in town. It is a small establishment and can be a little on the warm side for dining in, but their food is great. Highly recommend their pizza. more

Pizza for those who love pizza 4/1/2008

This is true, one hundred percent, authentic PIZZA. It is not too thick, not too thin. It has an ideal amount of sauce- not overwhelming, but you know it's there. The cheese, oh the cheese, there's a ton of it in every bite. I always get the peperoni, which makes the pizza pretty much perfect. I'd give it 5 stars but somehow it's missing some sort of intangible that I can't quite think of more
