I wouldn't go there ever again. They charge you for every little thing they can. They charge you to get your rings soldered, even if you get both rings from there. Where other jewelers do not. Then I needed my ring resized, even though I told the jewerler that it was too tight, she said that's how you should wear them, they were going to charge me $70 to unsolder it, then $80 to resolder it again. I called another jewerler and he quoted me $40 to do the whole thing!!!!!! more

I received a pair of beautiful diamond earrings for Valentine's Day from my boyfriend in 2007. He bought them from Rogers and Hollands and Southdale in Minneapolis, MN. They were very special to me and I wore them every day. One day recently as I was putting them in my ears I dropped the backer and my carpet swallowed it. I could not find it anywhere. No problem, I went back to the store to have the earrings checked and get a replacement backer. The associate told me that they would have to order that kind of backer because they didn't have them instock. In the interim she gave me a generic backer I could use until the correct one arrived. Life went on for 3 weeks and one day I realized that I hadn't heard from the store about my replacement backer and I thought to myself that I would visit the store that following weekend after I came back from my business trip. The day before I left I look in the mirror while at the office and my earring was gone! Distressed I frantically searched my home and office my earring. No luck. I called the store to explain my situation. THEY COULDN"T HAVE CARED LESS. In fact, they were highly defensive about the generic backer they gave me and refused to take any responsibility for it. They yelled at me and spoke me like a child that didn't have any rights. They even went as far as to make up a fake entry into my file stating that they called and left me a message stating that I could have to pay for the new backer. They never called me with such information. They accepted no responsibility for the fact that they gave me a cheap replacement for my earring and that was th reason it was lost. Overall, my heart is broken because I have lost something very special to me and R &H was rude and didn't even apologize for what I had been thru. Not only did they not accept responsibility for the generic backer they gave me but they lied to cover their tracks. In the world of customer service, they are terrible. THey don't care about thier customers, only the bottom line. Don't shop there. They suck more

Think twice before marrying a Jewelry store. When you buy a ring at this store you have to bring it in every 6 months for the rest of your life in order for the guarantee to be effective . My fiance bought the Diamond Abrazo Engagement ring with a 1.00ct. Princess Cut cut Diamond for $5247.00. I loved it. I was not able to bring the ring into the store for the 6 month check up. The diamond fell out of the ring and was lost, it was less than 8 months. I called the store and told them. They said too bad we can not help you. We ask how much it would cost us to have a new diamond replaced in the ring and basically they said the ring was worthless and we would need to buy whole new ring. The ring was 14kt. white gold. So I took the ring to another Jewelry Store and ask the Jeweler how much to put in a diamond. He check the ring showed me where the ring had broken he said the seat was very poorly cut the underbezel was very thin that is why it broke. He stated it was like setting a diamond in tin foil it would eventually fall out it was the worst work- manship he had seen. If you buy something from this store it's like playing Russian Roulette you might and you might not get good workmanship and you have to play by their rules and there is no divorcing. It's a chance hope you have the money for it. more

Rogers & Hollands offers a good selection of jewelry and helpful employees. My fiance bought my engagement ring there (which I love). Since then I have been to the store to have the ring sized, cleaned and inspected (on different occasions). At each instance, I had great customer service. We also have a certificate of $50 to put towards the purchase of our wedding bands. The location is a little tricky for me since it's downtown but it's a nice excuse to get down there every so often. more
