Generally I take my car back to the dealer for the convenience of the location and keeping all the service records in one database for later resale value. GM had issued a potential brake lining recall on several Silverado truck models. I had called previously to set an appointment to bring in my truck to be checked for the problem. At first the service manager did not know anything about it but after looking it up in the computer found the recall number and bulletin. Took my truck in the following Monday and had the problem taken care of first thing in the morning. Roger Dean is like most dealers helpful and did take care of the problem but their service center is a bit on the slow side even for oil changes. They should have more techs available so customers don't have to wait so long. Other than that I was satisfied with the service I received. more

Well, I wont be going back. I have never had to argue so much in my life about something so trivial. I have IN MY HANDS a GM certified letter stating that I can have a spare key made free of charge for the lifetime of my vehicle due to a recalled ignition assembly. It took them almost 6 hours total of waiting for the supervisor, debating with the clerk, needing to call the previous dealership MYSELF when they could have done it. All to find out that yes, they will finally do it over what they say is a ""38.00"" key. RIDICULOUS. I cannot believe the staff they have there! It would have been much easier to just check on the situation for a moment, look up the recall information and confirm the GM promise, then get to work!\r \r I hope they all lose their jobs. More concerned about the overall cost of a KEY to the dealership vs keeping a GM promise. more
