Formerly known as La Bamba, and under new management, Rodeo's Mexican Restaurant serves up authentic mexican cuisine at prices that will please even your stingy Uncle Ned.
Located at the side of the Quality Inn Hotel, Rodeo's recently had it's Grand Opening party, which my family and I attended. We arrived to find the parking lot packed, and festooned with balloons of every color.
We were looking forward to hearing the Mariachi band scheduled for that evening (if they haven't already done so, I would encourage the owners to provide this type of entertainment more often...it really made the evening a fiesta!) but we were concerned that, with such a large crowd, we would have a long wait for seating and our food. Neither turned out to be the case. We were seated almost immediately and our food arrived pronto.
The food was delicious. I especially loved the Chile Relleno. It just seemed to melt in my mouth...though I warn the faint of heart that it is HOT! My young daughter, who prefers flour tortillas to the corn variety, ordered the Burrito Supreme. She simply devoured her plate, though didn't quite manage to make it though the super generous serving. Hubby had the enchilada, taco and bean special and pronounced them very good as well.
So next time get the craving for a little bit of old Mejico, stop by Rodeo's for a tasty treat that will please both your pallet and your purse!
