I love Dr. Mathes. He has taken care of me several times with kidney stones and as anyone knows, kidney stones are no laughing matter. I called the office on May 22 shortly before lunch when I found out my mother was sick with a kidney stone. She has a history of them and knew that's what was going on. Amanda answered the phone and told me Dr. Mathes was not there. She also went on to tell me the Dr. was overbooked for the day and she was trying to reschedule patients as we speak. I explained that my mother is a patient of record there and I work for a Dr. and I know sooner or later she will have to be seen by their practice. Amanda suggested my mother go to the ER. I explained that the ER will see her and suggest she follow up with an urologist. After she upset me and talked to me with such a nasty tone, my mother went to the ER. After 4 hours the Dr. there suggested she see her urologist ASAP. I do not know how someone like that can keep her job.
Pros: once you get past the front desk, the rest of the staff is great also
Cons: if Amanda answers the phone, hang up and call back until someone else does
