large tasting area 11/9/2005

Located near the fairgrounds in new paltz, rivendell is the largest winery in New Paltz. They have a great selection, and a huge bar so that you aren't waiting for the person ahead of you to taste. they are tables to sit and relax at, an outside seating area, and a small gift area with some really interesting wine related products. the wine is great, and very reasonably priced. more

Great selection, good prices 8/5/2005

This may be the best place in all of New York to buy New York-made wines. In addition to making their own fine selection of Hudson Valley wines, Rivendell tries to stock wines for sale from every region of New York, including little out of the way wineries that may be too far off the beaten path for a casual visit. Leave room in your trunk - it's hard not to leave here without a case or two of mixed wines, even if you're just a casual drinker. more
